Think about it, why would the premiums lower just because its mandatory? Would you lower the price on a product you were tryin to sell if it was a law you had to have it? You lower prices when there is no demand!!

like I said, there are several measures to control cost besides the mandate. one is cross state sale of insurance. (increased competition)

Increased competition would have no affect on premiums!!! Premiums are determined by calculating several risk factors!

night-hen?

Herman Cain stated today that liberals always SIN in debates:
Shift
Ignore
Name-calling

Looks like Herman was right. First you said the mandate would lower the costs, when that was proven to be false based on past experience, you shifted to other "measures" would help.

Then you ignore that the CBO first said it would not lower, but raise costs over the long term. The only significant "lowering" of costs would come in the first years, after Medicare has been cut, and before the "benefits" kick in in 2014.

And now you have progressed to name-calling.

The good citizens of Georgia should have elected Herman. He seems to know whereof he speaks.

If you read the thread, you will see that Night-Hen started calling me Delluded Mind several times before I called him Night-hen. As for shifting, I was simply enumerating more reasons that costs will be contained. I haven't ignored any cbo reports because I haven't read any, I'm simply following news reports.

In some cases over 100% or more. That will mean over $2,000.00 a month for me. Gonna be cheaper to die. At least I have that already paid for. This is the first time I have been thankful that I'm a senior citizen.

I can't believe you really believe all the dumb things you say. I think you are a professional muckraker. You like to keep things stirred up. And why does Obama have that white bandage on his head?
