The man that called the President of the United States of America is a lying hypocrite himself. He is trying to portray himself to the blind following the blind right wing that he is a mighty champion fighting illegals from participating in health care. The man is a liar. He actually voted for the bill that demanded illegals be treated at the ER's around the country.

On Wednesday night, Rep. Joe Wilson [R, SC-2], shouted "You lie!" at President Obama when he said that the healthcare bill would not cover illegal immigrants.
Here is the quote from this lying Republican.
"The supporters of the government takeover of healthcare and liberals who want to give healthcare to illegals are using my opposition as an excuse to distract from the critical questions being raised about this poorly conceived plan,"Wilson said the next day in a campaign fundraising video.

However, in 2003, Wilson voted to provide federal funds for illegal immigrants' healthcare. The vote came on the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, which contained Sec. 1011 authorizing $250,000 annually between 2003 and 2008 for government reimbursements to hospitals who provide treatment for uninsured illegal immigrants. The program has been extended through 2009 and there is currently a bipartisan bill in Congress to make it permanent.

So who is the liar????

The problem with the way bills are done now, you can support the main bill, but they add one liners that you are opposed to, but you support the main cause more. I am against this procedure.

Big difference between what Wilson wanted and what OB is demanding. Read what you wrote carefully. You hate the Right wing so much you aren't thinking clearly. I say this in kindness.

You are right on both points, Esther. We would have to have a more clear understanding of the bill to see why it was supported. It's always more complicated than it seems on the surface.

Sorry one liners don't cut it. Two things happened he didn't READ the bill or he just didn't care as long as he pleased his lobbyist friends.Which is it?
