NLYP is Right; This Elder Stuff is Out of Hand

I am flabbergasted at the lack of youth I see in our movement.

I was at District Conference this week and one of the few young men there actually asked a question during the business session. He prefaced his remarks with this disclaimer "I apologize for bringing this up, I know I am too young".

Three observations.

1. The guy was over thirty and considered himself "too young" to ask questions.

2. My District Sup was awesome. He very emphatically stated that "you are not too young to ask questions".

3. While I love our elders, the younger crowd feels emasculated. They feel powerless to speak for fear they will be labelled as rebellious and ungrateful.

Yes Sir.

You know, in most fields men enter their most productive years in their thirties and forties. You would think that would bleed over into organizational church leadership. For some reason it doesn't.

Hmmmm.....

Milwaukee reliever Grant Balfour recorded the first two outs in the eighth before hitting Eric Byrnes in the left arm with a pitch. Byrnes stole second and Conor Jackson walked, before Reynolds hit his eighth home run

Seems to me, a little more than management, unless he's hitting batters, allowing steals, walking, and then serving up dingers!
