Random Box O Stuff... This looks interesting...

http://www.homeandbeyond.com/prod-boxostuff.html

Price: $9.99
Sale Price: $4.88
You save: 51.2% ($5.11)

Note: UPDATED 2/13/2007 -- Homeandbeyond.com sold approximately 1300 Boxes O’ Stuff during version 3.0. We will round up the dollar amount we donate to charity to $1500 ($500 to each charity). The three charities include the National MS Society, American Cancer Society, and The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society.
Product Description Item(s) of different value, all together in one box, shipped to your doorstep. Some customers will get our overstocked junk (not really junk, but would you really buy it?), while others will strike it rich. Each box will not have a pre-set amount of product, and will be randomized as best as possible.

This will be the last Box O’ Stuff promotion we will run before spring 2007. With that in mind, all orders will be stuffed to the top. We are using this promotion to clear warehouse space in preparation for summer merchandise. Be prepared this time to receive LOTS of stuff. Whereas an older version may have contained one piece each of widget A, B, and C, for example, Box O’ Stuff version 4.0 may have 10 of widget A, 5 of widget B, and 2 of widget C. There will be no counting of products. Our order pickers have been instructed to fill the boxes to the brim with fistfuls of items. This version will be like a wholesale Box O’ Stuff containing large closeout quantities of each item.

Shipping charges will be applied at checkout.

Offer Details/FAQ’s – Please Read Carefully:

You may order ONE Box O’ Stuff per order. You may place as many separate orders as you like. Each order will ship separately. There will be NO combining of boxes.
The “Stuff” in the boxes is random. Some customers will get real lucky, while others will get what they paid for. If you are unsure of this deal, pass on it.
There is NO return policy on the Box O’ Stuff.
Again, please be prepared to receive some really random stuff. The value of each box we ship will vary. Also, the boxes we use are random as well. No telling what’s inside each box!
“The Blue Box Sticker” If you are one of the lucky customers to receive a brown box with a Blue Box Sticker, be prepared for a really special treat. The value of the box is between $100 - $1000 worth of product – There are some really hot stuff floating in these boxes including a new Sony PS3.
You must be at least 18 years or older to shop at Homeandbeyond.com. Please read our complete Terms of Use before placing your order with us.
Q. Why do you do this?
A. First off, for fun! We like to make our computer geeks in Vermont get nervous with spiking traffic. Second, to clean house… Our buyers do a good job of getting the latest and greatest, but sometimes we get stuck with lots of stuff. Instead of liquidating this off to one company, the internet allows us to sell it to thousands of customers!

Q. How can you afford to give away expensive items?
A. We use several metrics to calculate our prices and margins. There are many factors in which a loss can be a gain for us. For one, real estate in the warehouse is limited. We also include our marketing budgets into this offer, thus closing our gap.

Q. Can I return my Box O' Stuff?
A. No, please read the product details above for a full explanation.

Q. Ok, I know it's random, but what should I expect?
A. You will see lots of tools, electronics, home decor, toys, and every day household products, oh someone will get a PS3.

Thanks for shopping at HomeandBeyond.com.

a 3 piece flashlight set (small flashlights)
3 piece singer scissors set
a hand held game
a key finder (one of those things you put on your keychain and clap or something and it beeps so you can find your keys - great gadget, I had one and lost it)
a portable screwdriver set (you know the mini almost purse size, its about a dozen screwdrivers)
a shrek clock
a battery operated tap light
a pedicure kit
2 nice ball point pens
another screwdriver set
a book on replacening faucets and stopping drips - a handy fix it guide about the size of a map, laminated and folded just like a map

all in all I think I got my moneys worth and it was fun

I was going to order one but when I filled in all the stuff I found out that the box of stuff was 4.88, but the shipping was over $10. So I changed my mind. Sorry. If the whole thing had come to $10 total, I would have gone ahead with it. But I guess I'm just cheap. Rats.
