The following is from a book I have written on ‘walking in the Holy Spirit’.
When you walk in Holy Spirit you will (Gal.5:16-25):
Definition of walking in Holy Spirit: You will be doing God's will
"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (17) For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. (18) But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. (22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (25) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
Galatians 5:16-25
When you walk in Holy Spirit:
- You will not sin
- You will show the fruit of Holy Spirit
A result of walking in Holy Spirit is the fruit of Holy Spirit
Walking in the Spirit means not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh.
The Spirit is against the flesh
The flesh lusteth against the Spirit
The works of the flesh are:
"..Adultery, fornication, uncleaness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings and, such like:.."
Galatians 5:19-21
The works (fruits) of the Spirit are:
"..Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:.."
