Fear not a Challenge

In response to some who worry about the challenge to oneness. In challenges is where knowledge is gained. It causes some to immediately seek the answers in the Bible--THEY are reading and learning. If someone thinks they have a worthy answer that comes straight from the Bible, then why should they not be allowed to post it? It's our duty to convert people to the truth of Jesus. Are the disagreements not a good way into their way of thinking? Can we not save souls in this manner? I don't even get offended if they get ugly with it---it means something got under their skin--or that they are doubting their own beliefs. Just curious as to why we would feel threatened by those threads--I'm concrete in my faith.

Amen; and good luck with this. I'd advise that you
avoid their fave idols--Reagan, guns, and mammon.

Re: Fear not a Challenge

I've learned so much here on AFF from both sides of the spectrum. If what we believe can't stand up to the test, the fire and to criticism, it must not be worth believing. If we hold the truth in our hearts, the truth will stand the test of fire, criticism and debate. Many things I once believed have been put to the fire test here at AFF, and other scriptures have been brought into the discussion that opened my eyes to see I had a limited point of view in my belief, and the scriptures pointed otherwise.

So, yes, I enjoy the debate and the challenging words that go forth here on AFF. I believe iron sharpeneth iron, and if I cannot back up what I believe by contextual scripture, than I have nothing to stand on.

Like my screen name says, I am KeptByTheWord..... I don't want to hear what you say just based on your opinion, but if you can back it up by CONTEXTUAL scripture, scripture that is relevant and appropriate to the topic, then I will listen, and study it out for myself.

Argument promotes study and helps those who are seeking.
I don't support guns, Reagan is dead, and mammon is evil--the beast that drives the whore (Babylon, our cities) that sits on the seven continents (mountains)

Don't worry, if the situation ever arises, I will not use my gun to defend you. Or at least someone with a similar attitude, in honor of your courage's stance.

And Reagan is dead, but is policies still work.

And since when is "mammon" evil?

mammon is money--money is the root of all evil. Loved Reagan--I'm Republican--but he's still dead--I shoot from the mouth--kills them everytime.

Can you direct me to your source that says money is the root of all evil?

Re: Fear not a Challenge

Sister, I think your heart is in the right place.

Money is not the root of all evil. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil. There is a big difference.

1 Timothy 6:10
King James Version (KJV)
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Even our pastors have a problem with 'the love of money' in some churches.
