This A.M. I was listening to Johnjay and Rich here in the PHX. They are on in Portland, OR; Fort Collins, Co; Tucson, AZ; Colorado Srings, Co; and of course here in Phoenix. They have several different segiments that I have written about on here before. Today is Wednesday 'Confession Wednesday'. Well today a man called in that used to live in Cinncinatti, OH. and confessed that he took part in an unsolved murder from '88. He claims that he didn't commit the murder, but was there when it went down.
The man that was murdered had been a bully over several people when they were all younger. They took the man to a bad part of town-apparently close to the river. They egged him, burned him with cigarettes and other thing all while his hand and feet were tied. Then the spear heads of the thing then pushed him in the river and people started taking off cause they were scared and two days later the man's body washed up on the Kentucky side. The guy that called in was sitting on this for 11 years. He was very shaken just telling the story. People here in AZ. have been blowing up the phones in Cincy. This is crazy and actually the second time that someone had confessed about a murder on thier show. The first was about 6 years ago or something when they were only on in Tucson. I can't believe it...I am floored. The reason that the man and some of the others never came forward is because the guys that were 'in charge' threatened to kill them all if they talked! What do you all think about this?

Do you all know yet if there is a corresponding unsolved murder in Cincy that fits the timeline and details?

Well someone called into the show and said that they had tried to call the Cincy Police Dept and it seems that there is. So it seems to be the 'real deal.' We will have to see what happens from here. I think that if it all checks out then it will make the national news like the first one did. I got to thinking there was also a time that someone from here in AZ called a radio show that is broadcast out of Los Angeles and confessed to a murder and they caught her I believe. Only time will tell.

If I remember correctly, they were unable to prosecute...

If so, I think it will only be a matter of time before they catch this guy. Maybe deep down, that's what he wants.

After reviewing the police report, County Attorney Andrew Thomas said that the original investigation, which includes a medical examiner's report saying the death was a suicide, is correct. He said there is no credible physical or circumstantial evidence to suggest the death was anything other than a suicide. He added that blood splatters noted in the 2001 shooting scene were consistent with a suicide.
"While there is no evidence a murder had been committed, we do have evidence a crime was committed by virtue of the fact that our hard working police were forced to spend valuable resources investigating what turned out to be a bogus claim," Thomas said in a statement.
The woman was also charged with a misdemeanor for filing a false report - she reported her car broken into and cell phone stolen after calling the radio station.

Do you remember on what grounds they were unable to prosecute? Surely not because the impetus was a radio confession, I would hope.
I heard they nailed some obsessive shoplifters the other day that confessed on Dr Phil.
I am a nice guy and was told that we don't video tape our communion service line because there are illegals going to our church. I would hate to see ICE visit church to catch someone they saw on a video.
