How To Murder Your Husband & Get Away With It

Apparently justice is a thing of the past in my state of Tennessee.

Most of you probably read the thread or threads covering the Mary Winkler trial here. It was the case of the Church of Christ pastor's wife who killed her husband as he slept with a shotgun blast.

The force of the blast blew him out of the bed on the floor from which he looked up to his wife and said one word as he lay dying "Why?"

The latest news now is not only is Mary Winkler going to walk away with just time already served (a little less than a year) but NOW HER ATTORNEYS ARE FILING TO HAVE THE CONVICTION EXPUNGED FROM HER RECORD!!!!!!

So not only will this woman get off scot free with murder it won't even be on her record if the judge approves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always had a hard time with the saying "not guilty by reason of insanity."
I am not saying that is the case here, but if one is guilty-they are guilty!
The penalies just are different.

This one sounds like a walk.

I wonderf if guilt will eat her up.

Yes eternity will be a long time however she will be lost NOT for commiting murder but not accepting God's provision for sin in the shed blood by obeying the gospel.

Convicted of mansalughter with a sentance range of something like 3-7 years with 50% of that off for good behaviour.

Because she had spent almost a year in prison at the time of the trial it was thought the rest of the sentance would be waived and she would just be on probation from her on out. At most a few more months in prison.

This latest move by her attorney's to have her conviction expunged from her record once her probation is over astounds and dismays me.

Why should someone who shot someone in cold blood as they slept be allowed to have a clear record as if the murder never happened?

We should be asking the law maker why that is. Here you have someone who killed another yet they get a slap on the wrist, then you have someone who may mess up on their taxes they get years in the slammer. Guess money is valued more in this country then taken a life~
