Re: The Next General Superintendant of the UPC Wil

I think it will be PM, but I'd rather see my Pastor in that position.

My Pastor is a better than all of the choices presented.

I make this statement, keenly aware of my personal bias.

Well, that won't ever happen.
We're too human and we're too political to give God any control over an election like GS.

I'm not UPC so I really don't care who gets the job.

From what I understand, Bro. Haney, Bro. Bernard, Bro. Mangan, Bro. Mooney, and Bro. Jones are all good men.

How would God select without using men? I'm just curious as to what is a better way.

Ya know Tstew,

I guess they could do it like the ACI/AMF

Get the names of the finalists, put them in the hat and whichever name they draw out is the winner.

The million dollar question.
I think that if someone came and poured oil on a minister to do the superintendant thing, people still wouldn't be happy. They'd be like, who made you a prophet to pour oil on this man (or something like that) LOL!

NO no no no! Ya gotta let them do the lot thingy, you know how Matthias was appointed to take the place of Judas? Well, that's how it should be done, but like I said before, someone would just whine about it.

That is how the ordinations occur in the Mennonite and Amish churches.

Can you run? You know, when I was in the army I ran twenty one miles a week. I'd support ya, but with a name like the one you have, I'd be afraid to. *winks*
