Jesus said water and Spirit. That involves body and Spirit. See, it's all a partial perspective.

Come into the fullness of understanding, and be saved.
So all we need to do is dunk people in water without them having any knowledge? So, here is where you and I waste time going back and forth with your foolishness. Did you start hitting the beers?

So, you have built a religion that teaches as long as you are skin and bone and not a full spirit being. You are going to be subject to doing all sorts of things brought on by temptations? Meaning, you actually have no control of yourself, and really neither does God. Because you are apt to give into desires, but when you do, you are quickly forgiven because after all you live in a sinful human body? That's not Gnosticism? Adam nature has nothing to do with what we are made out of, it has to do with how we think, what we desire, not with our skin and bones.
Hmmm

11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12: Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13: Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Rom. 6:11-14

Hey, EB, you need to tell Paul the Bible says nothing about sin reigning in the mortal body, nor its lusts and desires. It's ALL in the mind Paul! Lol

Wow, my old pastor called it "stinking thinking" and he knew your old pastor.

So, Chris when Jesus said that to look upon a woman and lust after her. Was it in your body, or in your heart?
That is a matter of heart. The carnal mind wants to please the desires of the flesh. The mind of Christ will not entertain the desires of the flesh, but instead seeks to fulfill the desires of the Spirit.

Aquila for a guy who bolded the words you don't understand what you bolded? Reign in your mortal body, meaning that it has to come from where? In the ruling factor. Chris? What is that? Did Paul indicate that it was the mortal body itself which did the reigning? Yes or no?

Do you hear yourself? It is a matter or the heart? But to fulfill the desires of your skin? Bro, if you cut off the head, the body is dead. Do you understand? Desire is not in your brain, it is not in the blood pump in your chest, it is in your heart, do you even know what that is?

It's my understanding that sinless perfection doctrine denies the sinful nature of the flesh, ie, the body, that we'll contend with until death or glorification. It teaches a deification if the flesh in the present that eradicates the sinful nature of the flesh, leading one to live a 100% sin free life with zero sinful nature to contend with.

Pastor Shearer never taught that.
All sinless perfection is:

We can live without sin.

We can be perfect with God.

This is so easy to prove. I had to change everything I believed over the years. Except this. Its always been easy to see. Its everywhere you look in scripture.

It is written:
Romans 7:22–23 (ESV)
22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.
Present tense.

There is a law, a principle, active in the flesh. Sinful nature. Paul admonished us not to allow this nature to reign in our flesh. We are to discipline the flesh, and keep over it.
