Just because "publicans" "love" one another, doesn't mean they are of God and have the Spirit along with the fruit of the Spirit.

Kinda reminds me of the verse - Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Apparently, there is a "peace" that the world gives, but there is a difference between the peace that the world gives and the peace that Jesus gives.

Therefore, just because one may observe an "apparent" fruit of the Spirit such as peace or love, doesn't necessarily mean it IS one of the true fruit of the Spirit. Remember the devil has his counterfeits.

This is why we can observe apparent "good" people in other religions that may show 1 or 2 "apparent" fruit of the Spirit, but because they are not in truth, we KNOW that they are not one of Jesus' disciples.

I think we should all just keep a cool head about this discussion. AG obviously has pressure on him by his family. He has probably come here in a defensive state of mind, yet to some degree it seems that he is seeking acceptance while at the same time flush out some of his frustrations. I am not threantened by his beliefs.

In the past, I have bumped up against people, but in the end found that it was better to take a humble attitude, yet express my views and if necessary agree to disagree in love.

People were definitely doubtful about his motives, and I think understandably so, but I don't think the man was mistreated. If you think he was, feel free to tell us how.

First of all you think the Oneness of God is my/our "so-called truth"? If you do, I have to wonder where youre coming from on this.

I see you choosing to lay the blame on us here, but no blame at the man who made all those bitter comments toward us... but then I guess even then his bitterness is OUR fault anyway. Please. You really need to get some perspective on this, because you're way off base here.

Are these examples of "hate", you're referring to?

If so, then maybe you really don't know what the word hate means. Don't throw the word around loosely. It's not necessary.

And who are you to sit on your moral high horse here anyway? I answer to God, and not to you or anyone else. If you noticed, I did say I hope he gets any resentment issues resolved, and I wish him well. Maybe you should just do the same and let the matter rest.
