City Councilman Bill Rosendahl drove into a corner gas station with a big grin on his face. He stepped out of a sports utility vehicle, pumped fuel into the tank and declared it "the most joyous moment I've had since being elected to office."

That's because Rosendahl was marking the opening of California's first retail hydrogen station on Thursday, and the Chevrolet Equinox he was riding in emits nothing but water vapor.
With gasoline prices at $3.93/gal, one station in my town just got E85 and the price is only $3.20/gal.
Unfortunately I don't have a flex fuel vehicle.
If the prices are still under $4 then I'd say you folks are pretty lucky. A friend of mine was telling me yesterday that it had shot up to $4.95/gallon just north of us.
