Re: The Spirit Realm

Always the strawman. I see that in politics in the world and shifty groups working against others. Why does this happen amongst Christians?

ah, my apologies. Might have to agree with you there.

if i may, i think it is because we develop a point of view, and then become attached to it, and feel we have to defend it, and congregate with people who hold the same view--even if they differ at other views, and we will condemn them later for those--"inbreeding," iow, when the view might be great for you and yours, but doesn't need to be universally enforced, might not even apply in some situations, etc, but that is not consistent with another of our povs, which is the necessity of the whole planet walking in OP lockstep or going to hell, right?

So i would say that this happens among "Christians" just like it happens in every other religion, for the exact same reasons, and thank God the Church is immune from all that. In "Many will cry 'Lord, Lord,'" what is Christ telling us if not this?

I always agreed the idea can never be our group and no others, and we must never condemn anyone. But I already explained that.... I guess some people's words mean nothing when seen through lenses tainted by some foreign assumption that never really was present, and distorts their actual intentions in minds of others.

Re: The Spirit Realm

well, so you will continue to hold to this law of yours, that does not reconcile, but incites division. They are lost by a letter, and you are here to suggest we enforce the letter, which incidentally you are a Master in. At least reflect on the potential for abuse there.

In general, those who are the surest tend to be the most deceived, and i have been trying to develop this Scripturally, but as we are talking about human nature and self deception, any quotes may be taken from a pov, as you have noted. We have some "be sure in your own mind" stuff, strangely after seeming to indicate that one does this, and another that, and endorsing neither, which must point to a truth. What is that truth?

And we are cautioned not to be double-minded; what is double-minded?

Nope, they are lost by Spirit. The Spirit leads to all truth of the cross of Jesus.

Jesus is the truth. I know what double mindedness is according to how the word uses it. But who knows what you think it means, since you've taken virtually everything out of context form the word.

The only way you can continue chatting to me is to twist everything I never meant and said to something else. If you actually spoke to me in reference to what I explained I meant, you'd been done long ago. Dream away!

yes, because i possess some voodoo power over what others choose to believe, and i am just a master of misdirection. C'mon Mike, you are to be applauded for having the courage of your convictions, but it is you that demands "All Catholics are lost" and no doubt even Pent Trinnies, i guess? If there is any assumption that is not warranted, perhaps it is these?

Or maybe neither of us is qualified, beyond our best explanation, to bestow any warrants? "All Trinnies are lost" will stand or fall all by itself, imo, so wadr i think you are just not done being offended yet.

...from the guy who thinks salvation can be found apart from the cross, claims it's not true, and then points to women bearing children for salvation.

You've got quite the imagination.

Offended? Not in the least. I'm used to the trolling the worst name-calling I ever had from anyone online, and the like.

I demand no one is lost. The bible says who is lost though. I just repeated what it said. Try again... as if.

yes, God forgive me for suggesting that Love your neighbor as yourself might be more important than your legal position.

"For God so loved the world that He GAVE..."

God gave us TRUTH in the body of "...the Lamb of God that takes away
the sin of the world..."
; and the Lord Jesus "...SANCTIFIED himself...";
(that is, GAVE himself) for us. So you see, love is not just doing someone
a favor, or performing a good deed. TRUE love is sacrificing what pleases
me, for what pleases God! A good deed remains only a good deed, unless
it is done under the power of the gospel: then it becomes a righteous act!

Cornelius (Acts 10) was a "...devout man, and one that feared God with
all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God
always."
But was Cornelius "saved"? Apparently not, without having
heard and obeyed the gospel! But God sent an angel and told Cornelius
what he needed to do, saying that Cornelius' alms and prayers had come
before the Lord. But was he SAVED?

Cornelius obeyed the angel, and sent for Peter who preached to him and
to his house. "While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on
ALL them which heard the word...And he commanded them to be baptized
in the name of the Lord."

So Cornelius was not saved by his works, only they brought him to the
remembrance of God: but it was the gospel that saved Cornelius "...and
his house."

Is a person saved by works only? No, Beloved: it is the gospel that saves!
