Does this make you a woman? Or a woman become a man since she would also be a part of the body of Christ?

Women are free to teach, preach, prophesy, you name it. However, they must also be subject to their own husbands and the elders of the church. Duh...

I don't know why so many get so uptight about women preachers... in my opinion... it reeks of insecurity and reflects badly on the brethren.
I thought this was a Biblical discussion. Have you demonstrated where they could teach and preach from the scripture in a church setting? All you have demonstrated is they could be used in the gifts of the spirit and witness. Still looking for the passage where you can demonstrate what you speculate..."under the authority of their Elders?"

Is Duh... an expression of intelligence? If you want to get into that kind of contest, I will consider this the first move. I will turn the other cheek, but will not guarantee my response after that.

Was Phebe the husband of one wife? If not, she must have served and not preached. Try again!
Did you not read where it said "THEY" taught, so she must have taught instead of serving.

What do they do? What "women-preachers" always do - ignore the grammar, context, syntax, exegesis, & plain biblical facts - & stubbornly plod along with their fingers in their ears.

It's called "gentle rebellion" & "sweet defiance" to God's Word (I realize you already know this) .

You will not find me tearing you down...keep on preaching my brother....each soul you win is one more that has escaped hell...

Nice try Sis. - But I saw through your ruse a long time ago (in more ways than you're aware of).

Here, let's briefly recap:

You've openly stated that is a "lie" to say that Bible forbids women to teach men in the church (when, in reality, the "lie" is saying the Bible does NOT explicitly state that); You've made constant slurs about us thinking Priscilla was "in the kitchen making biscuits;" You've scornfully said Priscilla wasn't "at home throwing something in the microwave;" You've said we would not listen to Huldah; etc., etc., etc.

Now, true to form, you're simply playing your usual "sweet lil' ol' lady" card in an effort to feign innocence. Sorry Sis. - We see through the smoke in mirrors.

I have repeatedly stated that I honor your sacrifices in winning the lost, your burden for souls, have even given of my personal finances to your work (in the PAST), have prayed for you (regarding several issues), etc. In fact, I have even said that I do not doubt that God called you to reach for the lost people of Brazil (which has absolutely nothing to do with teaching-preaching to men in the church).

We have told you over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over that you're meshing contexts of winning the lost, gifts of the Spirit with teaching-preaching to men in the church. What do you do? What you always do - ignore the biblical facts & stubbornly plod along with your fingers stuck in your ears copy-pasting the same ol' error.

Why? Because you're simply doing what you want to do in the face of Scripture that says otherwise. Hermeneutically speaking, you are another victim of Pentecost inasmuch as you appeal to your perceived experiences as a lens to interpret Scripture - when the polar opposite should be the case. Within much of Pentecost, Scripture often takes a back-seat to perceived "anointing." You need an entire paradigm-shift - but do not realize it - & will fight it to the end....Sad.

But.....God Bless anyway !

Daughters and handmaidens shall prophesy in the NT church. If a woman desires to do anything for the Lord, she may, under proper male authority.

1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant (deaconess) of the church which is at Cenchrea:
2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

Ummm, apparently you did not accurately read RJR's request - Here, let me repost it for you :

Why would Paul have a modesty standard regarding women being covered when prophesying in gatherings... if women were forbidden to speak, teach, or prophesy with men present???

Ummm, do you think that prophecy is a sermon from the Scriptures ?

If so, please demonstrate this from the actual biblical data:_________?

Here we see a man by the name of Aquila (hoot!-hoot!) and his WIFE Priscilla, evangelizing and specifically teaching a man named Apollos a more perfect understanding of the way of God.

Yes, & every husband & wife who teach a home Bible study are now automatically in the official set-in office of the NT teaching-preaching Eldership - right ?

Anything to skirt the Word of God eh':

11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner....I am writing you these instructions so that, 15 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church.

Shall I delve back into the specific syntax of these passages (all to be COMPLETELY IGNORED of course )?

I KNOW God calls women into the ministry. And I know He said pray for labors. What do you think they labors were to do?

Sorry - Let God be true - "I know" He doesn't call women into the "ministry" - He already said so in His Word (at least not in the sense you're talking about).

Try again !
