Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

I cease or hold no office by force...and have never claimed to even be a preacher only a missionary...and plan to be one until I hear the come up higher call...

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Even if I cor. meant what my friend says it means he still is wrong for the word women is NOT women in general but married women or wifes....

Under no circumstances does the injunction of Paul in 1 Cor. 14:34 indicate that women should not utter a word at any time during the church service…Furthermore, the word gunaikes (1135 in v. 34) should not be translated “women” in its generic sense, but as “wives.” It is wives who should submit (hupotassomai, 5293) to their own husbands (andras, 435, v. 35). The whole argument is not the subjection of women to men in general, but of wives to their own husbands in the family unit as ordained by God.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Ephesians 5:22, where we find the admonition “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord,” the Greek words translated as “wives” and “husbands” are the same as the words normally translated as “women” and “husbands” in 1 Corinthians 14:34,35.

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

These are the exact words from my friend:

Exactly! She & the others on here have been both shown & told this over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over..........& OVER!

What do they do? What "women-preachers" always do - ignore the grammar, context, syntax, exegesis, & plain biblical facts - & stubbornly plod along with their fingers in their ears.

It's called "gentle rebellion" & "sweet defiance" to God's Word (I realize you already know this) .

When we look up the word woman in the Strong's Concordance we find that this use of "women" is Strong's number 1135, The definition of this use of woman is "wife.”
When we look up the word "man" we find that it is Strong's number 435, this use of man means "husband. "Now if we insert the correct use of the word woman and man the passage now reads as follows: "Let the wife learn in silence with all subjection, But I suffer not a wife to teach, nor to usurp authority over the husband, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the wife being deceived in the transgression. "We must be careful to make sure the translation that we read is what is really being said.
Your failing to answer the questions given you. Is it ok for the woman to exercise authority over another woman's husband? It is impossible to be OVER without exercising some authority. You have already posted Phoebe was in authority. If a woman is in the ministry would she be able to state when necessary, 1 Cor 4:21?

You cannot have it both ways, in some of your posts you are saying various women were in authority, and when faced with the contradictions forced upon the idea, 1 Tim. 2:12, you then say it is only her husband. If that is so, obviously the conclusion is, if in authority, she must acquiesce to her husband, but can exercise authority over another woman's husband. I guess a woman was not in mind in any of the following passages...

Act 20:28..  ..Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Heb 13:7..  ..Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

Heb 13:17..  ..Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

1Th 5:12..  ..And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

1Ti 5:17..  ..Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Ephesians 5:18-21 to “Be filled with the Spirit … submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.”

Re: End Time Army of Women Preachers Psalms 68:11

Ephesians 5:22-33 (New Living Translation)

22 You wives will submit to your husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of his body, the church; he gave his life to be her Savior. 24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives must submit to your husbands in everything. 25 And you husbands must love your wives with the same love Christ showed the church. He gave up his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by baptism and God's word. 27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. 28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man is actually loving himself when he loves his wife. 29 No one hates his own body but lovingly cares for it, just as Christ cares for his body, which is the church. 30 And we are his body. 31 As the Scriptures say, "A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one." 32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. 33 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
