Death Sentence for Arsonist?

I remember the wildfires that swept southern california back in 2003-- and the wild speculations about how it started.

I figured it was accidental.

Apparently, there is a judge in so cal who thinks it wasn't accidental and has ascribed so much malice to the guy, that the only punishment best for him is the death penalty.

I disagree with the death penalty in this case.
