Beer Drinking Muslim's sentence reduced

A Muslim woman in Malay was caught drinking beer in a hotel. She had been sentenced to 6 lashes with a cane but it was reduced to community service.

What I found interesting is Malay is 60% Muslim. Alcohol is legal there. It's just illegal to drink if you are a Muslim

Well, I was kicked out of our bible quiz team once for turning on the television in our hotel room whilst at a meet.

Granted getting kicked out of bible quizzing as a punishment was a bit like someone saying "and as punishment for your dastardly crimes, here is a MILLION dollars!".
