It will surprise you!

It is worth the purchase and the read...

Book Summary

What if, after spending more than 30 years in the church that your grandfather founded and your father led, you one day looked around and thought to yourself: Do I really want to be a part of this anymore? Would you repress such doubts in hopes that they would simply go away, or would you explore their origin on the chance that the source is good? Could God be at the center of an anti-church campaign? How would you know? Where would you go, and who would you talk to? This book chronicles such a journey, and in the process exposes what lies at the center of many cynical twentysomethings who are trying to deconstruct what the church in today’s culture has become, especially in light of the One whose life it is supposed to represent. Employing his tendency towards satire, Joe Tamel invites you to join him on a quest to understand the church within the context of the current culture. But be careful! If you take the time to read this book and reflect on its premise, you might also join him in attempting to put up a stop sign to religion, which he has defined as…“little more than a clever idea born out of man’s rebellion; a counter-offer to a God who has demanded death.”

I was from 1980-2007.

My father in law is the brother of the Founder Frank Tamel.

I now attend Jeff and Tammi Butlers Church in Racine.

Tony Tamel is now the pastor he is Frank Tamel's son.

Joe is Tony Tamel's son.

I have great respect for the pastor's and the church.

Still UPC as for the Founder and son. Joe is licensed through the church and does not have a UPC license.

Church is about the same in size as it was 10 years ago.
