What A Surprise!!!

Everyone knows yesterday was our anniversary, it was also a day when we had some serious rainstorms.
We have CHurch in the afternoon so when we got home lastnight about a quarter to six we were walking on the side of the house and I noticed the windows were "fogged up" I thought that was odd!
When we came to the back our carport was a "Swimming Pool!"
We live on the main floor of a duplex and apparently with heavy rains & a drain that got plugged with wood, and dirt it flooded---right into our basement!!

We are both very tired.

At first I just laughed, but as the cleanup was underway. my smile disappeared.

My wife wasn't impressed!

There is still a mess! Carpets still are wet.

Yeah!

Happy Anniversary!!! Woo! Hoo!

Let's hope you don't get any mold... Not a great anniversary present.

Do you rent? If so count your blessings you don't own it. If you do own it, count your blessings you have a second floor!

Well, it could be worse. What if a skunk had gotten in while you were gone.

Hope the clean up goes well. Look on the bright side - labor burns calories!

Okay, I tried to help.

Tell your wife I said "HELLO!"

Ron, I just got a new rubber dinghy if you need it for getting around in your basement. Seriously, getting water in the basement is not good, but sewer backup is worse. The city sewer backed up into our church basement earlier this year. Now that is a mess! Over $100,000 damage.

If you could get your hands on a couple of dehumidifiers that would take a lot of the moisture out of your basement. on your anniversary.
