Southern California On Fire Again!!
Southern California once again is under fire. It is eerily similar to what we experienced 4 years ago just this week. Santa Ana winds have not died down and is fueling the rapid advancement of this fire.
Air quality here is dangerous along with winds up to 40-50 mph.

Just like 4 years ago....we are experiencing deja vu all over again. The Mayor of San Diego has just announced that the fire will begin to enter city limits near populated areas between 1 and 2 in the morning...which is 2-3 hours from now.

Good Lord, I guess there are some benefits to not living down there!!! But don't worry, we always wind up with the by-products up in the valley! Nasty air, gotta love it! On a more serious note, how close is this to where you live, will it directly affect you? Other than in the more obvious ways, these fires can devastate the areas they hit, I know. Those Santa Anas are just a LOT of trouble!

Let me tell you. I live in a flat land surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest and the Angeles national forest.
Fire in Santa Barbara, Santa Clarita, Camarillo/Moorpark, Castaic area and Malibu.
At 2:00 PM I looked out the window and it was so dark it could have been 7:00 PM
The whole city was nothing but smoke and ashes. You can smell burning wood for miles everywhere you go. It gets in the house too. It's nasty. This happens every year but I don't recall it being this bad and the winds blowing so hard during fire season...(santa ana winds)

Please pray for those that fight these fires. It's a grave danger and in these kinds of fires they generally don't use the respirators. Many firemen die from work related lung diseases.
Also please pray for our youth leaders, workers and the youth. This week is the start of a church camp we have every year. I expect one of the closed roads to be open by then (Thursday), but you never know

O brother! I hope this mess is over with by Tuesday night.
I am driving to Los Angeles after choir Practice.
It's suppose to be 100 degrees tomorrow and possibly Tuesday
