salvation

If we don't earn salvation by our good deeds how is it that we can we lose salvation by our bad deeds?

We lose our salvation by a lack of faith.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Amen. Israel committed all kinds of sins, but unbelief is what kept them out of the Promise Land.

And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. (Hebrews 3:18, 19 KJV)

We are given salvation and we drop it. It's like being cleaned by God, not ourselves, and we jump in the mud again.

Even if this was true, continued sin contributes to the lack of faith.

Or do you think that the lack of faith is root cause for the persistent sin that can lead someone to lose their salvation?

Re: salvation

Don't try to make it make sense. Just believe it and obey it. Or else.

Alright. so sinning (bad deeds) doesn't cause you to lose your salvation.

Re: salvation

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. (Ezekiel 18:20 KJV)
