This thread is to honor the fallen. I will attempt to update it weekly with the names of those who have paid the ultimate price in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are worth remembering.

Thanks for this thread, Bro. John. I don't know anyone personally over there, but when I hear of their passing, I feel a loss as well.

I think so often of some of my friends and comrades whom I knew so well that did not return back to their familes from Vietnam, as I did to mine.

By God's grace that I do not deserve, was I permited to return unharmed, except for a crooked finger that was broken there. It serves as a daily reminder of His grace.

My children watched as I located the names of those friends and comrades on the Vietnam Memorial wall. They saw the tears as I tenderly traced over their names with my fingers. They watched as this greying senior come to sharp attention and rendered a snappy salute to them all.

Thanks again. Those Vets are near and dear to my heart which shall be solemnly remember on this Memorial day.
