A New Jersey family court judge's decision not to grant a restraining order to a woman who was sexually abused by her Moroccan husband and forced repeatedly to have sex with him is sounding the alarm for advocates of laws designed to ban Shariah in America.
Judge Joseph Charles, in denying the restraining order to the woman after her divorce, ruled that her ex-husband felt he had behaved according to his Muslim beliefs -- and that he did not have "criminal desire to or intent to sexually assault" his wife.
Charles' ruling was overturned last month by New Jersey's Appellate Court, which ruled that the husband's religious beliefs were irrelevant and that the judge, in taking them into consideration, "was mistaken." http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/08/05...judges-ruling/

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
Stupid judge, but I've seen similar rulings from judges where there was no religion involved, just a clueless judge who didn't realize that hey, yeah, some men are abusive jerks who think they still own their ex-wives.
Unfortunately, I've also heard of cases where the ex-wife had a restraining order and the ex-husband still came after her and killed her. No religion involved, just extreme hatred by the man against his wife.
I'd advise the lady to arm herself in a situation like this.

I honestly wish this is something that didn't have to be said, but there have been too many cases where one ex has such a hate for the other ex that it ends up in murder.

Good, practical advice. However, it isnt wise to advise a weapon of any type for self defense without proper training in basic weapon safety at the very least. In the case of firearms, proper training in defense shooting is also highly recommended. Hitting a moving target in low light in a high stress situation is very difficult even for professionals. Target range shooting does nothing to prepare one for such situations.
Sharia Law is coming to the United States, just like we see entire neighborhoods governed by Sharia Law in Europe...unless we act to stop it. And even then... we'll see it forced upon us.
Well, it's definitely happening in Kenya, which has always been considered a Christian nation. From last year when I was there until this year, there are new mosques everywhere!! The Muslims have sworn to build a mosque every 8 kilometers, whether there are any Muslims in the area or not. They are doing 3 AM prayer walks and evangelizing the neighborhoods. It's very scary!
Yes, it is very scary..while christians seem to enjoy fussing and fighting over differences the REAL enemy is busy at work....I ask you, HOW blind can we get?

I post on a politics board a good bit and it is amazing the lenghts to which liberals will defend Sharia law and muslims wanting that here in America.

My pastor taught on this subject a few weeks ago. Not long ago in Nashville the police were summoned to a home on a domestic disturbance call. When the two cops arrived they were met with a group of Muslim men lined up across the yard blocking the door. One of them told the officers to go away that this was a muslim matter and they were handling it. Unbelievably rather than calling for backup the officiers did just go away.
Sharia law allows a man to beat a wife who is not subservient and other crazy things. You would think the women libbers would be screaming bloody murder and making sure the idea of Sharia law in America dies a quick death but they are too busy demonizing Republicans.
In Great Britain there are places the Government has allowed Sharia law to be practiced. Hopefully the new Government there will stop this.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
