He is getting to the place where he has been in office for almost a year.
To his credit, the recession is ending sooner than later. Sure his actions have been criticized, but his actions reflected LEADERSHIP!
Outside of that, I am not sure our President has accomplished much.
The Healthcare Reform could have been his chance to shine as a leader by coming out with a specific plan.
HIS SPECIFIC PLAN WOULD HAVE REFLECTED LEADERSHIP. The LACK of HIS SPECIFIC PLAN DEMONSTRATES A DISAPPOINTING LACK OF LEADERSHIP.
With 2 wars and the threat of a third one looming, healthcare reform in limbo, the lingering national unemployment problem and all other issues that have appeared, our President is not is not showing leadership.
He has recently stated that the Democrats are in trouble, in reference to the 2010 elections.
Well Mr. President, just like for the prior President, if your party is in trouble, it is YOUR fault.
GWB made VERY BAD DECISIONS. In fact, I AM STILL ANGRY about his bad decisions and the deception that he and his cronies fostered.
That being said, YOU, Mr. President are equally as maddening as GWB, but in a different way, as LATELY you seem to be utterly INCAPABLE of making a stand on anything and sticking to it.
AMERICA NEEDS LEADERSHIP!
OUR WORLD NEEDS LEADERSHIP!
BE THE LEADER THAT YOUR CHARISMA, MANNERISMS AND INFLUENCE PROMISES YOU TO BE...
OR GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!
Sadly, I too predict our beloved President to be a one-term President.
If his next three years are anything like the first one, there will simply be no justification for this Republican to cross party lines to vote for him.
I love our President. I support our President. I respect our President and my Commander In Chief. I pray for our President.
I suggest we all pray for him and not hope for his demise, for wherever he fails, America fails.
God bless America!
God bless President Obama.

Whew! What a year. God help us for the next 3.
To his credit, the recession is ending sooner than later. Sure his actions have been criticized, but his actions reflected LEADERSHIP!
To his DIS-credit, the recession is ending later rather than sooner.
Outside of that, I am not sure our President has accomplished much.
Correct. He has prolonged the recession by making buisnesses unsure of his direction so they have withdrawn from investing.
The Healthcare Reform could have been his chance to shine as a leader by coming out with a specific plan.
Health care reform would be fine, not socializing of America. American reform we do not need.
HIS SPECIFIC PLAN WOULD HAVE REFLECTED LEADERSHIP. The LACK of HIS SPECIFIC PLAN DEMONSTRATES A DISAPPOINTING LACK OF LEADERSHIP.
He ain't got a clue. He is a demgogue. He was taught slogans, nothing based in reality.
With 2 wars and the threat of a third one looming, healthcare reform in limbo, the lingering national unemployment problem and all other issues that have appeared, our President is not is not showing leadership.
Hello! Are you surprised? All this was known PRIOR to the election to those not hypnotized to the medias steady drum of, "he's our saviour, he will change things, he is our hope..."
He has recently stated that the Democrats are in trouble, in reference to the 2010 elections.
Well I certainly hope so, and I hope the conservatives (Dems or Rep.) stay on point.
Well Mr. President, just like for the prior President, if your party is in trouble, it is YOUR fault.
Agreed.
GWB made VERY BAD DECISIONS. In fact, I AM STILL ANGRY about his bad decisions and the deception that he and his cronies fostered.
GWB was a globalist as is BHO. Neither one of them or even many of the "front runners" are ever going to get good press unless they are internationalists. Case in point: Look at how the media has influenced the average person in what they think of Ron Paul. (Did he not predict EXACTLY this that is going on? Yet he was/is presented as a nut)
That being said, YOU, Mr. President are equally as maddening as GWB, but in a different way, as LATELY you seem to be utterly INCAPABLE of making a stand on anything and sticking to it.
Wishy washy, worse than Clinton for sure.
AMERICA NEEDS LEADERSHIP!
Give us an American!!!
OUR WORLD NEEDS LEADERSHIP!
Give us an American!!!
BE THE LEADER THAT YOUR CHARISMA, MANNERISMS AND INFLUENCE PROMISES YOU TO BE...
Some places he may want to lead us to, is NOT where we need to go.
OR GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!
Hip hip horray, hip hip horray!!!
Sadly, I too predict our beloved President to be a one-term President.
Or sooner if we wake up!!
If his next three years are anything like the first one, there will simply be no justification for this Republican to cross party lines to vote for him.
There should have been no reason to have voted for him in the first place, if one would have heard not only what he said he was all about but his voting (small though it was) record.
I love our President. I support our President. I respect our President and my Commander In Chief. I pray for our President.
I love the office of the presidency, I do not support this presidents current direction, This president has shown nothing to respect, I too pray for this president, for God to either change his mind or remove him.
I suggest we all pray for him and not hope for his demise, for wherever he fails, America fails.
I do not hope for his demise, I do hope he changes though.
No. On most of the issues he is pushing. if he fails America wins, seriously, if he prevails, America loses.
God bless America!
Yes, God bless America!!!
God bless President Obama.
I pray God blesses BHO in a way that will bless America which as mentioed earlier is a different direction than he would take us.
I disagree with much of what you said or implied but it appears we are at the same place in our dissatisfaction with President Obama.
For starters, the recession was quite near Depression status, but quick action taken by his administration has proven wise. No educated person will dispute that the recession is ending sooner than what was initially expected.
He has a "clue", which is why the lack of leadership is maddening.
President Obama is an American and is in prime position to lead in a way that GWB could only hope for-- but our President appears to be too much of a people-pleaser to realize the potential of his "would be" effective leadership.

Re: President Obama
I pray for Obama and his cronies every day. That they will be miserable until they turn their heart and soul over to God and all their evil plans will fail competely.
His mean sof "ending" the recession was to pump a trillion dollars of money THAT DOESN"T EXIST into the economy!
Do you not understand that such action is HORRIBLE for the economy. The dollar is losing all value. Oil producing countries are pushing to move away from the dollar completely. Hype-inflation is a REAL possibility. Gold has topped $1000 an ounce again. Our money is growing more worthless by the day.
That is the result of Obama's great "stimulus".
If he would have left things alone and let those companies crash and burn, the market would have corrected itself and fixed things the right way!
I promised myself to not say anything bad about the president and only find good things to say. So, I must admit that I like his suits, say what you will about the guy but the man does have style.
On the recession it is ending, I think it would have anyhow without the bailout... cycles of economy.
I am not real fond of the healthcare reform possible causing my insurance to go up 4k a year but am not really sure that is real or just industry posturing.

It was rendered with a promise unemployment would not exceed 8% and is on it's way to 33% more than promised. Facts and truth show it did not work.

You show lack of economics education. Any educated sees the recession has not ended and is preparing for a second dip. Koolaid drinkers swallow false hopes from Obama and treat them as fact.
Quote:
Moody’s Economy.com economist Mark Zandi likes the stimulus (via Fox News) but still thinks unemployment is headed higher. In his own words:
10.5 percent is a very reasonable expectation for the peak in unemployment.
Which, of course, brings us to the idea of a second stimulus. Marc Ambinder gives the rundown:
1) Extend the first-time home buyer credit
2) Create a new credit for companies who hire
3) Extend jobless benefits in every state, or just particularly distressed states, or every state but even more in particularly distressed states.
4) Give tax refunds to struggling companies
5) Institute a payroll tax holiday
6) Pass another stimulus but call it something like “State Rescue Plan” and send most of the money to state governments
Democrats are very deceptive. They say the recession is over. then why does it need another stimulus to make it "be over"? None of the above plans suggested are required when we see real growth.
I will say President did 2 things to appease the Democrats and he knew better. If Bush goes down in history as a bad pres, (which he is looking awesome compared to empty suit Obama) it will be for left ward leanings like TARP and stimulus.
Signs the recession is NOT over. Youth unemployment rate 18-24 is around 50%.
Gdp is far below similar quarters last year.
GM is increasing production and sales are still falling. (inventory glut and buildup)
Interest rates are record low and housing starts are still down
Bank lending is still a disaster
Unemployment is getting worse. It is a leading indicator.
The Obama care bill will cause a loss of over 3 million jobs.
The Cap and Tirade bill will also cause loss of over 2 million jobs.
Just a little Irony. I have published research in THE Economist in the mid 70's. Read it and you will see it too has become a political voice like many economist's names.
As we speak, I am keeping my eye on 4-5 bubbles that are building. I also know what will happen when the next bubbles burst.
Now the facts. A 1.5 trillion dollar deficit is proof beyond doubt we are in a deep recession. Signs we are out of a recession is a balanced budget.
For a grade school level question. If you bought a new car for $25,000. Did you have income of $25,000 if you borrowed $20,000 dollars to close the sale?
I promised myself to not say anything bad about the president and only find good things to say. So, I must admit that I like his suits, say what you will about the guy but the man does have style.
he started off not wearing suits and went business casual. That is an improvement.
On the recession it is ending, I think it would have anyhow without the bailout... cycles of economy.
I am not real fond of the healthcare reform possible causing my insurance to go up 4k a year but am not really sure that is real or just industry posturing.
It is real. Obama will add a list of items all policies will have to cover and yours will add a lot of features. Then the number that will be added to cover prexisting will be a couple hundred per insured. If your car insurance was now covering accidents you had when you were with a previous carrier, it would go up also.
By the way, we are sending out a trillion less dollars a year to oil and Imported oil. That is a forgotten stimulus. Our prime interest rate is near zero and home loans are under 5%. My daughter got her 8,000 dollars last week for a house she bought a few months ago. She will get her degree in December. Her interest rates were dirt cheap.
If the financial leader was together, the low interest rates and lowered energy costs would generate growth. But the economic policies choke growth.
