This blows me away!!!! Giving the world HOPE......whatever.

The Nobel Committee lauded the change in global mood wrought by Obama's calls for peace and cooperation but recognized initiatives that have yet to bear fruit: reducing the world stock of nuclear arms, easing American conflicts with Muslim nations and strengthening the U.S. role in combating climate change.

"Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," Jagland said.

Reagan only saved probably hundreds of thousands of lives by pushing for the defeat of Communism in the USSR. Why should that get an award?

Obama can bow to Saudis and tell the world how horrible America is. That deserves a prize!

He's giving the world HOPE - - hasn't gone through with anything yet, but just talking about it is deserving enough.

Ehh, always did think a peace prize named after the father of dynamite and owner of one of what was once one of the worlds largest armaments manufacturer's, wich Nobel himself converted to such from an ordinary steel mill, thus beating plowshares into swords, to be a bit ludicrous anyhow...
