Has anyone seen any details as to what's in this 800+ billion dollar "stimulus"?
I am interested to see.

stimulus, yeah right, it is a pork package, dream list for democrats, most of it wont even get into the economy for a year or two, and we are paying the bill, that is where the govt gets all there money, from us, yikes, dt

It's a bit confusing to call it a "Stimulus Package." In every other year since 1789 it's simply been called the Annual Budget Bill.
By adding "Stimulus" to the name the Dems are hopeful that more pork will come through so that they can pay off their political debts to people like Rod Blagojevich - well the ones who haven't been caught yet.
For some reason no one in the media is asking: "If this is the 'Stimulus Bill,' then where's the annual budget bill?"
I'm avoiding thinking about it at all. It's too worrisome. Just call me Pollyanna! Now where did I put my stash of rainbows??????

All of these packages have made me nervous. It would be crazy for people to be so critical of the Bush administartion pushing one through with little or no oversight and protection for the taxpayers...then embrace the same thing from Obama. If it is done or is deemed to be absolutely necessary, it should only be done with the strictest oversight, accountability, and transparency. My only hope is that this administration is concerned about the fact that they will have to face the music for at least the next four years.

Right!
I was very happy that not one Republican voted for the package and, I think, 12 Democrats voted no. I was watching the live stream, holding my breath, as the numbers were tallied. Vote no, Vote no!!!
The first time around people were very nervous and thought some of the package would work or was needed under Bush - when they found out it didn't work, they voted no on this one. It's not going to help - bottom line - it's not going to move our economy this year. We need something to stimulate the economy this year!
