Bishop Thomas Weeks searching for next wife

I heard a radio announcement today that Thomas Weeks is going to be doing a reality tv show to search for his next wife. Somebody needs to escort him out of the pulpit right down to the alter for prayer.

God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone."

Re: Bishop Thomas Weeks searching for next wife

Sam are you familiar with Bishop Thomas Weeks and all of the fiascos between he and Juanita Bynum?

Why does a bishop need to have a reality show to find a wife. That isn't mentioned in the Bible?

Why does a Bishop need to do the same thing the world does to find a wife?

I don't see anything in the word that says we should play a game of trial and error. That isn't the way. As a matter of fact, if he marries again this will possibly be wife number three. This isn't in the will of God.

He's not my pastor. Who he chooses to marry doesn't affect me.

Re: Bishop Thomas Weeks searching for next wife

I think things like this concern us all as Christians because it is affecting our overall appearence and appeal to the very world we are sent to bring to Jesus....the bride is looking more and more like a harlot everyday....a lying, bickering, thieving adulterous harlot...

  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Bishop Thomas Weeks searching for next wife

So I decided to peek at his website...and this is a bit disturbing.

HOW IT WORKS?
Four couples will be invited by Bishop Thomas Weeks to Atlanta for a three month stay. All couples will reside together. Women in one quarters and men in another. Bishop Weeks will submit these couples to a series of marital counseling, planning and preparations to find out if they are truly meant to marry each other or inform them if they should walk away from the potential union. As Bishop Weeks counsels the four couples, he himself will start his search for the Next Mrs. Weeks. Each week, Bishop Weeks will meet his new date and assess whether she has the potential to become a finalist for becoming the Next Mrs. Weeks. This search will not be easy. Bishop Weeks is looking for someone who will share his vision of ministry and entrepreneurial spirit. Every week there will be a secret challenge set up by Bishop Weeks for the dater to pass. These challenges can range from the very basic to the outrageous. At the end of the series there will be a wedding. The union can be that of Bishop Weeks or that of his understudies. This series will be filled with surprise guest appearances as well as a special guest appearance for the live finale.

Sad....someone needs to set up a challenge for Bishop Weeks to pass. Good grief...Im telling you the UPC is not being "looked" at by the world and thinking "Nuts"....at least not yet. We are not big enough and not on TV yet like this. This kind of stuff is embarrasing to me and discredits the Church. We need to return to our roots of focusing on Him and not getting US as individuals and personalities out THERE. They see us and not Jesus anymore. They see christians the adulterers. Christians the divorcees. Christians the frauds. Christian the con artists. Christian the money loving fakes and hypocrites....Im sure some liberals out there will call me names or try to insult me for my opinion and maybe some cons will too, but that is my opinion of what we as a whole (not just Pentecostals) have allowed ourselves to come to.

Even the Episcapols are turning gay or splitting off over that issue. This is a serious time to be praying for guidence and for the fire to fall...in more ways than one.
