We Are Going To The Polls Before The Americans!

Our Prime Minister asked the Governor General to disolve the 39Th Parliament and call a General Election for Oct 14Th!
That is the day after our Canadian Thanksgiving & is the shortest campaign allowed by law.

We only have to listen to them for 37 days!

In B.C it is worse, we have a bunch of Municipal elections in November as well.
We will have our fill of Politicians for sure.

Next May there will also be a Provincial Election as well & the electorate is mad!!

The Provincial Politicians just gave themselves a 30% raise!!!!

A bas rate for a member of the Provincial Legislature is now $100,000!!!!

Not bad seeing as the Provincial house only sat for 50 days this year!!!!

Not bad work if you can get it.

I can't stand Politicians---crooks, all of them.

That's kind of a blanket statement. I have served on the City Council and am running again this year. Does that make me a crook?

I had read about that. seems they are wanting to get in a vote before us southerners vote so they have momentum with the conservatives up there.

That and the fact they do not want any influence from the US vote to influence the vote in Canada.

Also are economy is slowing, they want to get the vote before there is possible hard times.

City councilman eh? If your not corrupt now, you soon will be. Btw, I thought Pastors weren't supposed to get involved with politics. From my understanding, there are way too many compromises that take place with being a politician.
