This is for all the Trinity haters out there
What would you do if there was person that joined you church named Trinity? I actually know a few people with that name. Would you ever consider naming a child Trinity or do you hate the Trinity soooo much that you couldn't do it? I am curious to hear what you all think.
For the record my wife and I talked about naming our daughter Trinity but chose not too cause some of our friends in the church gave us garbage over it.

Re: This is for all the Trinity haters out there
Trinidad (Trinity) is a fairly common Spanish name .... First and last.
i.e. boxer Felix Trinidad ...
The Spanish used it to name an island in the Caribbean ....
They also used the the term El Salvador ... The Savior ... for another country.
Of course this is a result of the Roman Catholic influence.
I always got a kick over the popular Korg keyboard that came out .... a few years called the Trinity ...
I'm sure some Apostolics writhed at that sight of it in worship service.

There is a United Pentecostal Church in the island of Newfoundland, Canada, in a town called Trinity.
That would make it Trinity United Pentecostal Church.
I do not think they call it that, though.
BTW, the word TRINITY only means three in one. It is not technically limited to three persons in one God.

I have a friend that Pastors a UPC church on Trinity Ln. in Nashville.
But my real question is would anyone on this forum, as an Apostolic oneness person, name their daughter Trinity? I have had more than one oneness person tell us how wrong that would be.

Agreed, but some oneness people are taught to hate the Trinity to such extremes that naming a kid Trinity or something like that in their mind is horrible.

Re: This is for all the Trinity haters out there
A lot of Spanish boys named Jesus ... in OP churches have to either use their middle names or the nickname Chucho ... or Chewy .... because it's deemed as almost sacrilege in the eyes of some.
I wonder if the same logic is used for the name Joshua/Josue ... which essentially the same name as Jesus.
Many would not dare to use the name as an option to name their boys after coming to Christ ... i.e. leaving the Mother Roman church.

never heard that one before.
As for naming a child Trinity.... No but not because I think it is wrong I just don't like it as a name.
There is also an ultra conservative oneness church in Trinity Alabama.
Could you imagine that name? Trinity Oneness Church.

Many are not comfortable calling them ... or themselves .... Jesus in informal settings ... including in church ...
Of course ... they are listed as Jesus on church rolls, directories, etc. Always making the distinction by saying both the first and last name together.
Yet in my experience we usually used the nickname or another way to address the person ... like Hermano Rodriguez...
Kinda like an unwritten rule.
