The deception of Tragedy...

Many times I have seen tragic things happen with no explanation as to why....but then when the tragedy has passed somehow the light of the sun begins to rim the dark clouds and soon they are gone away...and brightness and sunshine rule the day again...

It is the picture of our God...We don't understand the darkness of the clouds...but behind every dark cloud the sun is STILL shining...

Many times I didn't see it at the time...but tragedy becomes a testimony when folks are willing to trust God even when they can't see him....

I hope you are encouraged...

I took this picture from one of the first storms we had in OKC....

Re: The deception of Tragedy...

There are moments that in the storm God will let us know he see's us.

I took this picture a few months ago.

I was driving for business near Madison, WI

When the sun in the midst of a dark strom hit me in the eyes.

It was directly in the sky and shinning through towards me.

I took my phone aimed it and shot this picture.

Witin a couple of seconds it was gone.

It was like the Lord let me know, I see you!

I am sure I took the only picture...

I captured the wink of God!

One interesting thing.

When I took the picture the glimmer of light was in the shape of a star.

You can see the shape as it was starting to close...

The Lord told me this one time....

"In the time of your darkest hour, I am doing things to you, and for you, that you do not understand".

I told this to a friend of mine on the phone and he broke down and started crying.

I guess he needed to hear that.

Re: The deception of Tragedy...

Good thoughts, Randy and lovely picture!

It reminded of a time when I was in a difficult storm/trial. During a time of prayer the Lord showed me a man in a hot desert - miles of sand and the sun beating down. So vivid! I could see the sand glimmering in the hot sun and feel the heat of the day!

He spoke to me and asked, "What hope does this man have?"

I said, "That someone would come and rescue him, I guess."

He brought this song to my mind.

You Make It Rain

You led me down a rocky road
To teach my feet to stand
Then you led me through the valley low
So that I would hold your hand
And on the raging sea of time
You taught my eyes to see
Like a flower in the rain
You helped me to grow
You make it rain for me

We've been walking many many miles
And you have never failed
Through flames and flood
I've walked with you
And on through the stormy gales
No matter where your steps may go
Or whereever they may lead
Out in the desert so hot and dry
I know you'll make it rain for me

You formed the clouds with your own hands
To hide the light of day
So that I would learn to trust in you
All along the way
And Lord, I won't question tears I've cried
While down on bended knees
For when my soul gets thirsty, Lord,
You make it rain for me

He is faithful! I'm in a storm right now, but I trust in the Lord! He will make it rain for me! What He is saying in the song is that when it looks hopeless and you can't get out and can't find help - He is the one that will bring you out. He is the one that will sustain you!
