Take Heed….deception…..caution…beware!!!!

TAKE HEED….DECEPTION…..CAUTION…BEWARE!!!!

After reading some of the post yesterday from ReformDave and Ron I was concerned about something. Then last night at our Friday night Bible Study/Home Church, the very subject that I was concerned about was discussed.

Now this is not to ReformDave nor Ron or anyone in particular except to ME. I must be careful and not deceived.

Matt 24:3
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Notice here what is the very first thing that Jesus warned them about the endtimes?

Matt 24:4-5
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Deception is the very first thing He warned them about. And He went on to warn them that MANY shall come in my name. Who would be the ones coming in His name? Would it not be the religious folks? The very ones you may be putting your trust into?

He goes on to say that they will come in His name saying they are Christ and deceive many. I heard that CNN did a special on some guy that is claiming to be Jesus and that the antichrist was a good thing. That he even has the number 666 tattooed on his arm with a following that has done the same thing.

Truly amazing that anyone would be so bold, even more amazing that he would fool so many to believe him. I have to wonder how many of them has had any real church experience, that should see the deception.

Matt 24:10
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Then He goes on down in verse 10 and warns them of the spirit of offense that shall be in the endtimes. It is common to hear I quit going to that church because the pastor offended me or a church member offended me. OR even pastors leaving their churches because church members offended them.

He warns then folks are going to betray one another in the last days. This has happened so offend now that even the ministry can not trust the ministry with their deepest and darkest secrets that need prayer over for fear of betrayal. Laity that doesn’t trust their pastors to keep their confidences they revealed from being exposed.

Oh I cringe to think have we reached the point that we hate one another? Oh I hope not. 

Matt 24:11
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

The air waves are full of false prophets deceiving many. But I shutter to think how many are in our pulpits as well. Or do we think we are so holy that it can’t happen to us?

Oh what a day we need to pray and uphold the ministry to not fall; not fall from truth, not to fall into moral decay, not to fall for the enticements of the flesh, for wealth and fame, to name just a very few.

Matt 24:12
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Love here I believe is agape love. Agape love is going to wax cold. The love He gave us for Him and the things that belong to Him, including His people. In Revelation He talks about how you have left your first love. People will love iniquity more than the things of God.

What a selfish culture we now live in. It is all about ME today. Love only yourself, trust no one but yourself. And what caused this? Iniquity!

Matt 24:23-24
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Again, he tells them to be aware of false prophets. They will do great signs and wonders so much so that if it were possible they would deceive the very elect.

I believe that signs and wonders are getting ready to come back into the church, and remember any the real thing is here there is a counterfeit that tries to imitate it.

Pray folks, like you have never prayed before to be not deceived.

Prov 22:28
28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.

Many people use this scripture to say remove not the old landmarks, meaning what the fore fathers of the UPC has set up. But folks those are not the landmarks we need to focus on, but the landmarks of Scripture! The UPC is less than 100 years old. What were the landmarks the Apostles gave us? Don’t remove them!

And lastly I leave you this scripture.

II Th 2:10-11
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

No matter what you want to believe ask yourself before you change any believeth that you have held, do I LOVE TRUTH? Does it reflect the Word of God?

Am I changing my stance to please man or God?

Do I truly LOVE TRUTH?

IF not you WILL be deceived.

Please heed the warning.

Hey Brother it is to ALL of us.

I truly believe we are living in the last days.

When he taught on it last night, it was really a sobering thought.

Why the mention of Reformed Dave and Ron?
What specific message was there to them?

That all conservatives are evil, and can't be trusted?

That would be sad, if that was your implication.

No not at all.

Just that they made changed from what their original beliefs were.

Then with the message last night, I thought of them.

And then with some of my own thinking that has changed over the years.

To me it is a sobering thought.

That is why I said it is to ME.

But I thought I would share with all.

AS to false profits that is a very serious thing, we must prove things by his word...that is why I have some issues with some of the things that some UPC feel is heaven or hell issues...long story, but it is perilous times we live in today.

Sis. Esther,

I think your desire is honorable and your warning appropriate. There is no question that it is the desire of the deceiver to hoodwink the very elect if possible. One of the easiest ways to deceive someone sincere is to convince them that the truths they hold lack compassion and to get them to alter their view to a "more compassionate" one. Even if it is false, if it feels good and satisfiies some sense of greater compassion it is often embraced.

this is the way of the Democrat party... and they have enslaved a generation of people to their liberal ideologies with just such a tactic!
