Community Wide Praise Service - Amazing!

Tonight at 6 pm, our city had a Prayer & Praise service at one of the large A/G churches. There was a combined P & W band and then the pastors got up and prayed over specific things in the city. They prayed for families, schools, government, youth, crime, etc. It was really great.

The last lady to get up was a very well known Methodist lady in our city, and she wept as she talked about reaching the lost. She told how she had sat in a church for 20+ years, thinking she was saved because she was raised in the Bible belt and attended church faithfully. But when she went through a crisis, she realized that she had no real relationship with Jesus. She told how she had come to intimately know the Lord and walk with Him. Then she cried as she talked about all the lost in the city. I'm telling you, it was powerful!!!

I could never think that these precious people didn't have a valid relationship with God. They may not understand Him the way I do, but they do love Him!

My wife was working at Hospice (she loved it!) for 8 weeks and knew some Catholic nuns there would have a more personal relationship with God then SOME of us in the "true" church.

I would never belittle anyone's experience with God...I am just thankful for the great knowledge God has given me.
