Seems to me the very act of baptism demands some kind of spoken declaration by the one doing the baptizing. I mean, who lays hands on people for healing and just smiles at them, without saying a word? Exactly, there is invoking going on throughout the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. This was a people who not only used documentation but also relayed everything orally. Preaching, shouting, proclaiming and most of all prophesying. With the MOUTH confession is made. The baptism is a threefold witness, the baptizer, the baptized and the infiller who is Jesus Christ.

I don't think you get out as much as you think you do, brother. Go to your local charismatic church and ASK THEM why they would do the "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, which is Jesus" routine.

95% of them would NOT do it. And that proves my point exactly. They would know that I am saying the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit is Jesus.

On the other hand plenty of them would be fine with saying, In the name of Jesus Christ I baptize you in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost. Thats their way of saying BY THE AUTHORITY OF JESUS I BAPTIZE YOU IN THE 3 GOD PERSONS.

I dont get out much anymore. I am an old man 64 who just retired. Hopefully I will be getting out more. Last night my wife and I drove an hour and a half to an Apostolic (post trib) Church in Lexington. The Lord is giving one of the greatest of all blessings. TIME.

The last one I can think of was William Branham. Started out Baptist and became Oneness.

The only other one that might be a possibility would be David Terrell. He may have started out in Trinity and then became Oneness. Not sure.

Brother, what on earth are you talking about? How can I be the one with delusion, you were the one who brought up that Kenneth Hagin Sr was a Jesus namer. I wasn't the one listening to the radio 10 years ago and has a story of miraculous conversion to Truth. You said it not I.
