I know some UCs and they are great Christians who have a great prayer-life and are very devoted to God,these men are ind. that I am thinking about now am I as strict as they are now to be honest I am not but these folks are my brethren and Sisters in Christ.
I respect them and their convictions,I have bigger fish to fry than to bash our good conversative brethren.
If they are truly walking in The Spirit more power to them.

The devil does his job making sure the church is divided,The World is lost but we would rather eat each other alive,and back bite and find fault rather than edify and build up.

I will say that before finding this site, I was ALREADY questioning just about everything "Apostolic".
It didn't make sense that I was questioning so much. Every time I ever found myself at my wit's end, I wanted an Apostolic to pray with/for me-- would not mind maybe a Trinitarian Pentecostal, but could not care less if a Baptist or any other non- Holy Ghost filled person would pray for me because in my mind, they couldn't touch God any way.
Prejudiced? Yes, I am prejudiced.
So with all of that, to be at a place where I didn't want to be Apostolic any more scared me-- even more than when I was being bombed in Iraq. I'm not exaggerating the fear I had when I started having my doubts.
It still bothers me, but not as much since finding this forum.
Finding that I'm not the only one that has the same thoughts and doubts over the same issues has helped me to come to terms with them in a healthy way.
I was already swaying. However, now I feel that I am strengthening.
I am no longer the Apostolic I used to be. I can no longer feel comfortable bringing some lost soul to a church where I KNOW in the future, it will be a matter of time, they will be presented a gospel that is not the Gospel-- where people will be expected to conform to certain rules and standards if they want to fit in.
I am an Apostolic-- but different now. I believe and trust more and more on the grace of Christ. When I witness to folks now, I can do so with confidence knowing that what I tell them is in the Bible and that when they come to my church I won't have to explain this and that away.
I will find a church that preaches the Bible, without a whole bunch of other stuff added. When I witness to folks, I will lead them to a place where they will not be exposed to the cruel legalisms that almost killed me spiritually.
In order for me to "go back" to my old Apostolic way of thinking, I'm not sure if it is even possible. Whenever I read the scriptures, I don't see things the way I used to.
AFF didn't do this, but it helped along the way to bring to the place I am now.

Mark, I think your assesment of why mod and con preachers have stopped posting on AFF is pretty accurate...

it wasn't even so much that they/us had felt bad posting here...
it really got to some ministers was when organizational leaders and Elders started saying "why are you posting on a forum where the UPC is teared to shreads?"

Yes, and for this reason, I wished some folks would chill a
little with the anti UPC rhetoric and sentiments.
I'm all for free speech,but if they want to keep us here,
they have to understand there is a pressure going on.

i don't think anyone can argue that there is MORE anti-UPC talk here than pro-UPC...

that's about the strongest hint I can give CP
Of course you have options. You get to be with the clique
crew over at JPs. That has shut and alienated a lot of us
that are stuck in the middle
