I realize you could not bring yourself to be honest concerning how you explain baptism's meaning in Acts 2:38, but do be honest about what the folks have said to you here.
Brother, as long as you have known me have you ever heard me say anything bad about the KJV?

Yep, I learned it 35 years ago....1 Greek word.

I just dont feel qualified to teach Greek, knowing 1 Greek word.

I guess I better stick to English explanations....LOL

Baptize....

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death

Matt 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Acts 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
39 And when they were come up out of the water

I realize you have no way of explaining these passages to folks that they mean immersion, but I never have had a problem. In 35 years, never 1 problem.(about 1,500 lessons)

You think folks think they say the dead are left sticking out of the ground from the ankles up, and the Eunuch and Jesus were ankle deep in water....its okay, whatever you think is best.
You didn't read what I posted, did you?

If anything, just the opposite. You've made it overly clear that you prefer the KJV. Like I said to Sean, no one HERE has said they hate the KJV. Of course he skipped that I said that...

What? Do you see Brother Blume in any of this conversation? Did he post anything concerning yea or nay about the KJV? So, do everyone a favor stop your hate against people. Brother Blume isn't posting to you here, so give him a break. You don't like a teaching, that's cool, but lighten up with your hatertude.

Does thou get it?

Re: Effective evangelists?

I have a brother in our church family who use to always bring a New World Translation. He is baptized in Jesus name, and living for God. Imagine if I would of made an issue of his Bible? Instead of just TEACHING and PREACHING to save the soul. Because the Lord is his pastor, he shall not lack.
