Are Evangelists On The Wane ?
And he gave some apostles;and some prophets;and some evangelists;and some,pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints,for the work of the ministry,for the edifying of the body of Christ: EPH.4:11,12
There are alot of folks out there who call themselves evangelists,who seem to sow discord in local churches,by undermining pastors.
Then there are others out there who go to churches ,looking for a good church to open up for them.
Are real evangelists who are reaching the lost and edifying the local church on the wane ?
Alot of pastors are very leary of evangelists,and righfully so.
Is there a shortage of real evangelists out there.

Just what is the purpose of an evangelist if one arrives into town choking on the exhaust of another leaving, then the Pastor gets up in between on a Wednesday night and says, we NEED REVIVAL!!!!
Then he says, that was the best revival this church has ever had, God has taken us to a place, saved souls, #s with the Holy Ghost and baptisms...yada yada yada...by the way, we are starting revival next week with Brother Latestandgreatest...after all We NEED REVIVAL!!
I am kind of getting tired of the hype.
So...what is an evangelist for? Some of these guys bless their hearts have no idea the Awesome revival the church they are arriving at just had with one of their competitors.

Nobody (that i know of) runs long revival meetings like we use to when i was growing up. hardly anyone would show up.
A lot of Evangelist are working for churches and preaching out on weekends and Wednesdays

Why are they competing is what I want to know.....
We are having revival in March..Bro. Paul Price (cant wait, so excited)...haven't had revival since last year.
And what is a "real" evangalist, or guess I should ask, what is a fake one?

Our revival is scheduled for 5-7 days, thing about the length of them getting shorter is they are booked. Moms church had revival 5days and wanted longer but he had already scheduled another church, and is booked up for a couple of months.
