The last thing I heard was that any 'truth' that was presented here was like a piece of angel food cake wrapped in plastic wrap, and then thrown into a dumpster and covered in trash. By the time you get to the cake, you are so dirty from the dumpster-dive, you no longer want to eat it.

Are you steadfast in your belief you know who it was?

Well, it seems other dumpsters they frequent are just as nasty.

Here are the real reasons why many Cons have left, formed
other groups and rarely come around anymore. Now, please
don't attack me. I'm just telling WHY. I just want your comments
and hopefully some good honest interaction
It's partly because of a few certain posters. that is true. But it goes
way beyond posters being disrespectful.Their is a common held belief that this forum
is swaying a lot of vunerable people (traditional Pentecostals) to question and give up their
convictions and cause them to backslide from the truth. It is believed that this forum or many members here
are out to sway others out of the standards and that it is working.
It is grieving a lot of people and they can't bear to see what has happend.
some would go as far as to say that AFF has an agenda. Others
would say that Certain individuals have an agenda. I'm not sure
this is the case BUT I am telling you that this IS indeed what
is thought by many and I wont take that back.
Even though we all got along on FCF, many are seeing the results
of what a forum can do over the years in changing peoples' long held beliefs
and it's troublesome to a lot of the ministry.
Now, you can brush this off and try to forget about it, that's fine.
but at least you know the real truth now unless you choose to live
in denial. I don't expect a lot of people to come clean about this
and some wont want to believe it's true, but sorry, it is nonetheless
true.
For a while I was puzzled as to why there was a mass exodus
and sought out to find out why. I was a little apprehensive about
posting this But I feel it's time to come clean about this so that
everyone knows the real deal

St. Mark:
You'll have to bear with me because I haven't read the entire thread...just your initial comments, but I appreciate your remarks for their directness and frankness...and, in general, you are on point...
...for some time now, there seems little reason for a middle-of-the-road Apostolic/Pentecostal to actively participate on this forum...more and more frequently, posts do not just challenge what are often referred to as "standards," but rather, they challenge every basic tenet and doctrinal truth held by what you call "conservatives..."
...if I hold certain truths to be dear and absolute, that belief does not require me to either defend those beliefs to anyone and everyone who is able to type a challenging question on this forum...and the lack of posting a defense does not, within itself, weaken or invalidate these long-held doctrinal positions...
...I for one would rather spend my time discussing the glory and wonder of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ and the beautiful insights and revelations of His Word than fritter away much time dealing with a poster bent on changing my principles for the sake of change...
...thanks for your post...you have prompted more response out of me than anyone has on this forum in some time...God bless...

Re: The REAL Reason CONS have left or rarely post
After all of these pages I don't think we have a conclusive answer but I have heard some specific reasons certain conservative posters left.
Rumor has it time on AFF was interfering with Eldler Groce's new hobby - shulffleboard. He was heard to say "finally a sport where I can wear long pants and long sleeves!"
The other thing whispered in my ear was that for a time Elder Epley was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome from not being able to reach the keyboard from his office chair.
Apparently he bought a new chair with that nifty hydaulic feature that lets him pump it up where he can actually reach the keyboard without straining and so now he is back at least on a limited basis.
