Is that better...or have I offended the conservatives again to the point of needing to edit?
1) that does not bother me

2) Drop the attitude and stop bringing up a past admin decision. It was already made clear to you in discussion with us over that. Im saying this for the last time, if you have an issue with what Admin decisions then take it up in PM.

If someone says something that is offensive it's offensive to ANY party. What was said before was done because in THAT case what YOU said was directed at conservatives. Boom never stipulated that it was only wrong because conservatives were the target. Get over it already and stop trying to drag it back up and rehash it out.

You were already warned over it before.

I respect Jakes...and merely brought in the post to show that you can say Jakes waffles and speaks half truths and there is no uproar...but speak against a conservative icon and people call foul every time.
I wish I could help you, but if you can't see the difference between how you worded your post and what they said about TD and Parsely, then we have reached an impasse.

First of all, it is not conservatives that are the problem. It is legalists who have hijacked conservatism. The Bible labels them as pharisees.

People have spent decades trying to appease legalists while they are allowed continue to offend. Legalists are not all about unity. They are about control. Reminds me of Elijah's nemesis.

It has been corraborated more than once Jakes baptizes in Jesus Name and believes in the infilling of the Holy Ghost. So the ''can't get salvation right'' arguement doesn't hold water.

I was not the only one to speak against the words used about jakes...go to page 3 of the NAYC Young Minister's" thread and see for yourself.

Yet Coonskinners words stand...and will continue to stand because it is not as damnable to touch a lib icon as it is to touch a con icon.

Who decides if we are conservatives or liberals? Only God knows what is in the heart. Man judges by the outward appearance but there is only ONE who knows what is hidden in every corner of our heart...My friends don´t be to fast to pass judgement.

I personally don't agree with him on all things, but, he is a brother and we need to be careful how we speak about a brother or sister. And, if he publishes a magazine, remember, it's his magazine and he has the right to promote what he believes.

There is a lot of diversity in this Church (the Church, the one with a capital "C," the Church of God which He hath purchased with His own blood). The epistle of 1 John talks about our proper attitude towards our brothers and sisters, those who have the same Father as we do. In Ephesians chapter 4 it speaks about maintaining or keeping the unity of the Spirit. It does not tell us to manufacture unity because in God's sight the unity already exists. We are to recognize that unity or oneness of the people of God and maintain that unity. One of the ways Paul mentions we can maintain this unity is by "forbearing one another." That's an old word we don't hear much, and to my understanding, it means to hold back, to put up with, and to make allowances for. Some times we need to hold back and not say the things we feel like. Some times we have to put up with someone by loving them even when they are not so lovable. And some times we just need to make allowances for one another.

Legalists have to label people or else they lose their relgious superiority. Look how they throw around the word charismatic. It's the equivilent of a racial slur. I know one upc minister who has baptized more people in Jesus name than most churches in his district combined. Yet he is labeled charismatic because he doesn't preach a ''dress code''.

It's a shame people require labels. I tell people I'm an athiest that's not taking any chances. Try labelling that one.

Someone once told me that he used to be an atheist but gave it up because there weren't enough holidays.
