Re: Pastoral Spiritual Abuse

I'm glad I didn't see the context of the blog post because I don't find it appropriate to post if it was intended to be a private message of any sort.

Re: Pastoral Spiritual Abuse

This isn't pastoral or spiritual abuse. It's just ventilation of spleen. The manner could have been better, and should have been taken to the prayer closet rather than on Facebook, making it look like bitter gossip.

The ministry is supposed to be above reproach and give offense in nothing. What was shared in the OP doesn't achieve that sacred duty well.

But it's not abuse. Abuse has to do with authority and control. No one is being controlled through an overstepping of one's bounds. Someone is being maligned, sure, and with that, the edict to not speak evil of someone is contradicted. But that isn't abuse. It's just carnal blather, hopefully repented over.

But truth to tell, if someone erupts in anger and frustration, and then another party adds their anger and frustration, all that usually happens is that the first party feels justified in their wrath. Better a soft answer than dishing out what you've been served.

The Lincoln is as big as a boat, so it worth a try to provide my brother with some delicious Florida BBQ. Which only come second to Louisiana BBQ which is the utmost best in the entire planet. In Louisiana they can cook a shoestring and a napkin and it would still taste awesome.

That was OK, but those guys are Florida HATERS! Where are they from? Where did they say they hail from? NORTH Carolina! Get it, NORTH. Florida is not a southern state? We ARE THE SOUTH. Man, when people get jealous, they sure get jealous mean. Anyway I guess you would get kind of jealous when all you eat is vinegary BBQ.
