I just noticed that the Papas Aplastadas is asking for 1 1/2 tsp. Cumin. That is a very overpowering spice! I think I would take that down to 1/2 tsp. and see how it tasted.

Have you ever tried Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce? It's awesome! I'm using it today on chicken and steaks. It has a nice spicy bite to it.

We're pretty traditional here:
Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
2 kinds of sweet potatoes: the kind with marshmallows for my sister Sally and the kind with the pecan struedel topping for my brother-in-law Richard
Green beans in bacon and onions
corn casserole
homemade yeast rolls
4 pumpkin pies
4 pecan pies
cheesecake
pickles, green and black olives
broccoli casserole
pop
coffee
water
tea
and anything that anyone else comes up with. You never know at our house! One time, a brother brought POTATO CHIPS!! LOL!!!
And just so you know, all of this food is to feed an army. 10 of us, 10 grandkids, any boy-friends or girl-friends that they bring and my mom.
Then when we finish eating, we all go bowling. I think everyone looks more forward to the bowling than they do to the meal itself

We are planning to have about 20 adults at our house for Thanksgiving. We have family and friends and invite several who do not have family to celebrate the holiday with. I am doing the meats and desserts. Others are bringing the veggies.
I will be cooking a turkey, ham and tenderloin with the gravy. I also do the cornbread dressing at my husband's request and a green salad. For dessert I am making: Rum cake, Chocolate cake, left over Italian Cream Cheese cake, and a sugar free Chocolate /strawberry triffle. Others are bringing: string beans, mac and cheese, mustard greens, squash casserole, congealed salad, sweet potato casserole. I always panic a couple of days before the holiday and cook up a couple of extra casseroles just to make sure we have enough.
