Surely you aren't offended if some are being humorous, 2020? That doesn't negatively affect the productivity of the conversation does it?
Not everyone feels comfortable addressing this topic, and some do. So why close the thread? Those who want to talk about it seriously will, and those who don't--won't.
I don't see how it's "pointless"...I think a few good points have been brought up so far. Is there something missing here that you wanted to see addressed? Not everyone can identify with your specific concern, but most people can address the topic in general.
Oh, don't be dramatic. You having second thoughts about posting doesn't indicate our lack of ability to discuss the topic.
Here--I'll give it a shot:
If you have a foot fetish, and women all around you are baring their feet...pray and look up. There you go. That is the best you can do. LOL!!!! I can guarantee that women are not going to start covering their feet, nor should they need to. Is that too simplistic a solution?
How do men who are attracted to the female form in general keep their thoughts pure when they encounter curves every day, scantily clad or otherwise? I don't really see what having a particular "fetish" has to do with the overall scheme of things.

You took it the wrong way. Do I think there have been good things said - yes. However, talking about something serious in an atmosphere where people are talking about biscuits is not fitting to say the least. Humor is a great tool, but only in the right setting and with sensitivity to the topic. Sitting behind a screen doesn't grant people a fair judgement of their real etiquette.
Yes, I have second thoughts. I'll give you the high road with the ability to discuss the topic. Don't care to argue that point with you.
I don't think a woman should cover her feet. If you read my post, I stated that. Saying "look up" is certainly simplistic to say the least. Put most men in a "safe" environment and have all the women take their tops off. Doesn't mean every man in there has some vicious demon of lust... means women don't have their tops on and men are attracted to that in a very obscene way (back to what others were saying). This isn't a blame game (men vs. women) this is an accountability with the brotherhood and sisterhood.
I will take the book advice and some of the comments as good advice and move on. The peanut gallery can move on to the next post.
I think some of you are confusing 'desire' with 'lust'. Both can be the same, but not necessarily.
For instance, David didn't lust after Bathsheba....he wanted her, 'desired' her, because he liked what he saw!!! Lust doesn't necessarily see anything but what the mind conjures up.

Harping on the Biscuit starter again?
My lands, look at what grew out of it.
Just because I approach a discussion differently than you and cannot stand a 'hang dog' approach doesn't mean I am not serious about wrongful thoughts and actions.
The point which was made earlier stated it better, lust in and of itself is not WRONG.
WHAT is being lusted after is what is wrong.
1 Corinthians 10:6 "Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted."
Deuteronomy 12:15 "Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart."
Deuteronomy 12:20 "When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after."
Just because the word 'lust' appears more often in the negative than the positive does not make the word it self evil.
You can LUST AFTER A BISCUIT!
It is the ADDICTIVE properties and development of inordinate and unnatural lusts the take men down the path of evil.
To like sugar is not bad, but when you develop the need to eat handfuls from the 5Lb bag itself to get a high, there is something wrong.
The same with sex between husbands and wives, you think when the husband thinks he's Tarzan when his wife shows him affection is wrong?
Buddy, he is lusting for his wife and nothing LESS!
Anyway you slice it; it's lust, for something not wrong or evil.
You let that same lust rise up in hubby for another woman and it is EVIL.
1 Corinthians 10:6 "Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted"

VERY TRUE!
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
If the flesh LUSTETH against the Spirit and the context continues saying the Spirit against the flesh, the implication is that the SPIRIT LUSTETH against the flesh. It lusts for good things!
The same Greek word is translated as HAVE DESIRED:

That reminds me of something totally apart from the thread point... a preacher once preached saying, "I love this Gospel so much I'd draw blood for it!"
Ahem... okaaaay
