You just dont get it do you?..I am the teacher, I choose the curriculum...You would make a lousy public school teacher, when you let your students do their own thing and bring their own materials...LOL
But you make a 17th century English Bible part of that evangelism? While you are going to be evangelizing some people who once used the KJV, and have switched to NKJV, and ESV.

Yep, it is awesome, and they love it too!(once I get them into the KJV, they realize how annointed it is)

What would you tell the woman's husband? Or would you try to intimidate the woman to not use her NIV?

I used to only use the NIV because it made more sense to me. It wasn't till I learned that there are Biblical questions you cannot answer and scriptures that are missing that I stopped using it as my main source.

As an experiment...try quoting ANY Bible other than the KJV...you will see.
Then try teaching, using various versions, the try quoting the KJV....you will begin to struggle with the KJV.(I had a pastor doing it, he would melt down because he used multiple versions, then ended up resorting to reading the KJV when he lost his touch)

Sounds like you would be completely inept to teach a Catholic who wants to use their Catholic Bible. Instead, you should be able to point out the scripture to them in their own Bible that they area already comfortable with. I find that really sad.

Re: Effective evangelists?
Just walk into a house full of Catholics, open your chart, lay a few rules(including the 1 Bible rule) and hand out KJV Bibles...Easy peasy!
