Are you saying the US government is at the same level as North Korean's government?

Good grieve!

Donald Trump has dismissed concerns about the widely condemned human rights record of the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-un, praising him as a “tough guy”, a “smart guy” and a “great negotiator”.

The United States is #1 in the free world in relation to incarcerated citizens per capita. We currently have as many citizens incarcerated as the former USSR, and most are on drug charges as a result of the war on drugs, mainly marijuana.

And so many still think that this is a free country.

It's what happens when people are criminals. Actions have consequences. We're a nation of laws, either abide by them or be prepared to pay the piper.

What part of "it's the law" do people not understand? Libs are insane, blasting Trump for following the law. It's a bad law. But Trump didn't make the law. Dems in Congress need to craft a bill to end it, but they won't because it's better for them to keep it in place and bash Trump over it.

It is a free country. It is also a nation of laws. If you break the law, there are consequences.

Don't break the law.

It's quite simple, really.

There are principles to deal-making and negotiations which can be applied to most anything. Certainly negotiations with NK isn't the same as ones for real estate, but again there are principles which can be applied to it.

Do you know he "turned a blind eye" to this? We don't know what all Trump and Kim discussed during their meeting together.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. This was only the introduction. There are still more meetings and negotiations to be made.

That made Kim to winner of this meeting.
This notion that Trump is a fool who doesn't know what he's doing is just ridiculous.

Sure, Kim is able to show his people that he spoke with the POTUS, but make no mistake, Trump is in control of what happens. If you think that Trump is going to pull troops, you're wrong. Also, Trump may have stopped war games for now as a gesture to Kim, but I wouldn't be surprised if Trump ordered them to begin again -- and even bigger than before.

Yeah I was thinking about this as well, by giving Kim a seat at the table and legitimacy, you basically restrain him at the same time.

North Korea has never had respect from other countries really but now Kim is getting a taste of that...he might be less likely to act out in fear of losing what he feels he has "gained"....also....the age old rule applies that states"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Re: President Trump Nominated For Nobel Peace Priz

The best part is we have 3 hostages returned home. NK hasn't fired a missile since November of last year. NK agreed to returning remains of US POW/MIA. And they appear to have destroyed their nuke site and a missile site as well.

And Trump didn't give them a cargo plane full of money to do it!

Nor did he give them any other incentives, other than stopping war games off NK's coast.

Something else which is important to remember: the sanctions have not been lifted.

Again, Trump is firmly in control. He's not stupid or out of his league with negotiating with NK.
