Indeed. Frankly, that was a preposterous comparison.

And the legacy of slavery had much more of an impact on black Americans, than "the legacy of taxation without representation" (if such a thing exists) has had on white Americans.

Re: Black Liberation Theology

I read some stuff on a Christian Indentity site before,it was plenty bigoted, there is nothing Christian about The Christian Indentity movement.

Re: Black Liberation Theology

Is this injecting more racism into the campaign?

I have already responded to this and the correlations that were being drawn.

Re: Black Liberation Theology

What would drive a person to make a statement like that? What life experiences has she had that would give her that perspective? Its easy to take a snip of a comment and run with it. Its another thing to examine the problem that the comment is based on. If you would only walk a mile in someone else's shoes you might be shocked at by what you'd find. You may not realize this but the super patriotic views of many white Christians are just as foreign to some minorities as the comments of Rev. Wright are to many white people. Why? Because based on race people have had different experiences in America. Not saying that minorities are not patriotic. I certainly wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Especially not as a woman. Just saying that we have seen an ugly and evil side of America that some of our white brethren haven't. They are shocked that we don't seem as patriotic as they do. We are shocked that they don't see what the problem is. So everyone is generally in shock. You are an intelligent and mature gentleman Bro.Sam. I'm sure you understand what I'm saying.

Well, his wife was never in her life proud to be an American until her husband was successfully running in the presidential primaries.
