I think he was comparing that to what Joelel is claiming....that your spouse committing adultery makes you an adulterer as well, and that the Bible makes statements about some sins being as bad as others. For instance, the tongue kills, but does that make us murderers and should we be tried as such?
That's how I understood it, anyway.

Straight is the gate and few find it. Many are called but few are chosen.
Math.7:13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Whew! I'm so glad you posted this! Many key points in the above passage!

but Joe was making claims that arent in the bible...at least what Dan is asking IS in the bible..and how do we explain that?
But making Jesus and adulterer? I cant even repeat it without laughing
Yes you must divorce because they make you an adultress and you make Jesus an adultress, because you are one body.
Have you ever heard of Hosea and Gomer?
I can stick by my husband no matter what, if I so choose. There is NO Biblical mandate that a person MUST divorce for ANY reason. I don't care if he cheats on me with 50 women, I still have the option to stay in the marriage if I WANT to.
...not sure I would want to...but that's beside the point.

Where does the Bible say you must divorce your spouse who committed adultery? Where does it say your spouse's adultery makes you an adulterer (or adulteress as the case may be)? Where does the Bible say that by not divorcing your spouse you make Jesus an adulteress (I'm sure you meant adulterer)?
THANK you!!!! My mouth is open in shock here! (At Joelel's posts.)

Not sure? Girl! You are sooooo much more forgiving in imaginary scenarios than I am!

Yea, I'd set my foot down at 49.
