The only question you asked was 'right?' The other words were an accusational statement.

Reminds me of conversations with my son. When he wants to go somewhere, he is to ask my permission.

This is an example of him asking permission:

Mom, John and I are going to the park after school tomorrow, ok?

I tell him that's not asking my permission to go somewhere, but instead he made plans and is wanting to know if I'm ok with his plan.

I tell him, this is the way to ask permission:

Mom, is it ok if John and I go to the park after school tomorrow?

There is a difference in how the questions are asked.

Chan, leaders are ALWAYS held to a higher standard due to the nature of leadership. It has nothing to do with some being able to get by with things. It is just the way things are. That's why we call them LEADERS! They demonstrate and we follow. They're certainly not expected to be perfect, but the sheep I do my best to lead look to me for strength in difficult times. They expect me to be strong for them and I should.

Leaders are no better than anyone else nor should they be lifted up and thought of as kings or as some churches do, put them on thrones on their platforms. But leaders will ALWAYS be held to a higher standard and rightly so.

Are you trying to find out if that's what he's doing? Do you really think he's going to say, "Yes, of course it's okay for the saints in the pew"?

So then you believe that saints should be held higher than ministry?

Mic 7:8 ¶ Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD [shall be] a light unto me.

Joe,

I am beginning to realize part of why you rarely go to church...the altar is fraught with perils for a man of your delicate sensibilities.

But there is hope, Joe...keep the faith!

Aren't you judging him as well?

Of course you are! If you weren't, you wouldn't put him on ignore.

Or are you saying that anyone who has a sexual relationship (adultry or fornication) is BECAUSE they are addicted to porn? b/c I would have to disagree with you wholeheartedly.

Affairs and sexual acts before marriage happen for reasons other than porn...

Single folks without God, or who have drifted away from God, get themselves in very real physical situations and make bad choices...

For married folks, I think that if a woman cheats, it's usually b/c she's gotten EMOTIONALLY attached to someone b/c something that was lacking in her relationship with her husband was met by some "friend"....someone who listened to her or was interested in HER - and not necessairly mainfested in a physical way...yk?

I think a man cheats b/c there is breakdown MOSTLY in the physical relationship with his spouse and some woman is in the wrong place at the wrong time....IMO

Married women, IMO, when upset or mad or whatever at their spouse, refrain from physical contact with the husband....Men who have issues with their wives no longer care about the feelings of the wife and so the cycle starts...
Great post Theresa!
