So when they say they baptize in Jesus name (2)its NOT because they believe in Oneness.
Having said that there are some Trinitarian groups that (3)DO baptize in Jesus name. Thats how
I started this journey myself.
As to the promise of the Spirit ALL (4)Pentecostals and Charismatics that I am aware of believe
in that. They differ from most Oneness in that they believe it is (5)OPTIONAL where (6)Apostolics
believe it is ESSENTIAL.
(1) Yes: to them the NAME means/implies "authority": and the authority,
to them, is "in the name of the F, S, and HG".
(2) correct;
(3) I don't know of any: but I know of some who baptize "in the name
of the f, S, and HG, which is Jesus";
(4) can anyone be truly pentecostal and DENY Acts 2:28? For that scripture
touches not solely on receiving the Holy Spirit;
(5) the gospel that saves IS NOT optional: this would include repentance,
baptism in the NAME, and receiving the Holy Spirit;
(6) Only apostolics/pentecostals believe the FULL gospel: and we KNOW
the FULL gospel.

Like Brother Michael posted most all Trinitarians claim they baptize in Jesus name. Hence the reason why we stress that anyone baptized in titles was not baptized in Jesus name.

Re: Well Known Ministers Coming To Oneness

From Kenneth Hagin's book, "The Name of Jesus"

"""Some people have gotten into controversy trying to be technical about a water
baptismal formula. Baptismal Formula is not going to save you. I believe In being
baptized in the Name of Jesus. I do not believe in being baptized in the name of "Jesus
only." When I baptize people in water, I say this, "In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
I now baptize you in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
Thank God for water baptism."""

Here's a link to the book in PDF form. The quote above is from page 36.
PDF Book

Page 34 sounds like many Oneness ministers (emphasis/caps by Hagin):

"""The believer is not only saved by the Name—but the believer is baptized into the
Name—and on the ground of the Name he receives the gift of the Holy Spirit.

MATTHEW 28:19
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in [INTO] THE NAME of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

ACTS 2:38
38 Then Peter said unto them. Repent, and be baptized every one of you IN THE
NAME OF JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost."

Hagin believes authority of the Name, but doesn't believe one must be baptized "in the Name." That's what I'm reading.

MtD and EB are correct.

For anyone interested, this site has a lot of Hagin's books in PDF format.

https://www.pdfdrive.net/kenneth-hagin-books.html

Good source for other books as well.

Well, I was just saying it had been discussed. I couldn't find the thread I remembered, though.

Hagin believes authority of the Name, but doesn't believe one must be baptized "in the Name." That's what I'm reading.
MtD and EB are correct.
Here's the contradiction I see: (with the words above in bold)

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under
heaven given among men, whereby we MUST be saved."

If I were to use another name, then I would be saying that the NAME of the
Lord is not sufficient to save!
Now this:
"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a NAME which is
above every name..."

God honored the Word Incarnate (the son) with His own NAME, because He
knew the son would bring honor to His NAME. And just what is the NAME?
"...who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his NAME, and what
is his son's NAME, if thou canst tell?"

"That at the NAME of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth..."

Now, as regarding Brother Hagin: you are using words he used many years prior
to his conversion. The words I heard prior to his death (not deathbed confession),
are words (doctrine) I would use to further the gospel that saves.

Can anyone be saved and deny the NAME, or reject water baptism
"...for the remission of sins..."?

As to number 3. I was baptized in Jesus name in a Charismatic Church. At the time the Elder said he was Trinitarian. All I knew then was the Apostles baptized that way and I wanted to do Gods will.

Shortly afterwards he got the revelation and mentioned he had heard John Eckstat a UPC Preacher teaching on it.

There was a Church in Detroit that baptized in Jesus name Pastored by James Lee Beal who was a radio Preacher in the 70's. I visited there once.

There was a large movement of Charismatics in the 70's and 80's led by Pastor Hobart Freeman. They were strong to be baptized in Jesus name but were Trins. The Children of God (before they fell into free love-fornication) baptized in Jesus name. Their doctrine at the time was not clear on the Godhead. A Church in Ohio I visited at times led by Dale Huffman baptized in Jesus name and were Trins.

These groups actually DID baptize in Jesus name.

As to groups that say "I baptize you in the name of the Father and Son and Holy Ghost....WHICH IS JESUS.....I find this to be very good. It is plainly telling the revelation.

Trying to keep one foot in each camp is "very good"? Sounds like these people don't actually believe in salvation through JESUS ALONE. His Name isn't good enough, gotta cover all the bases just in case?

Sounds like lack of faith, to me.

Yes, the book from which I posted the quote was written in 1979; however, I do not believe his position changed from what was written in that quote.
