So go right ahead and throw out John 3:5 then.

According to your logic we should encourage people to have abortions.

Also, you still have the question to deal with at what point do they become sinners.

When they reach the age of accountability.... having the knowledge of good and evil, and then they chose the evil.

So you are saying that everyone chooses evil even if they understand good or are you saying that we know what is right or wrong but can't choose good?

Sorry I am asking but I thought folks agreed on this stuff.

I'm saying that we know what is good but choose evil. We justify lying, we justify adultery, we justify whatever evil sin we commit. We accuse others of wrongdoing but excuse ourselves when we do the same evil. Yes, we know what is good, Paul states in Romans 7, but we don't do it!!

Do you want to read a really good treatment on the human conscience? Read C. S. Lewis', Mere Christianity, the beginning chapters.

Would you like to hear teaching on different viewpoints (although I don't think my viewpoint is presented) on original sin?

Go to Reclaiming the Mind Ministries and scroll down and on the left hand you will see 263 Theological Questions and Answers. Click on that and then go to the questions under Humanity and Sin starting with # 157-172. Two Dallas Theological grads will discuss these issues in video format. They are both Reformed (Calvinists) Evangelicals.

You're the one that brought it up. I'd prefer a cashier's check.

I still find it confusing that a Calvinist wants to evangelize. What's the sense in that? Whoever is going to be saved will be saved. Why evangelize?

I'll send you a cashier's check if you answer my question.

BTW, who do I make it out to?

Well personally, I'm into "Jesusism" more than "Calvinism" so I can't answer your question. The Calvinism debate is funny to me but you raise a good point...why evangelize if the saved are already determined. But really, why do anything if we're predestined?

Any system of theological thought that has someone's name attached to it is irritating to me so I haven't paid much attention to it.

Make the check out to "Benny Hinn".
