True - hopefully, they'll allow our loving Savior to bring peace and healing. Jesus can change and restore lives and bring GOOD to a person's life through even the worst circumstances! I can testify to that!!!!!!!
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

I can't disagree with the overall message, in fact I agree completely.... But simply saying "hopefully, they'll allow our loving Savior to bring peace and healing" is about the same as saying "get over it" as far as the victims perspective goes. You KNOW that it is not that easy and the majority simply won't "get over it" -not without a lot of pain and counciling.
I believe you, and anyone else who has had this happen, need to be personally involved in helping others to "get over it". Since you DID, your a very rare and very valuable commodity to the Lord right now. Priceless in fact!

I agree 100%! In fact, it took me 30 years to be able to say what I've said. NO, it's NOT easy. It's very, very difficult to get through, and to move beyond. However, I do know that Jesus heals, restores and makes whole; and until I received healing, I wasn't able to help anyone else. There's a LOT I could say about the difficulties I've had throughout my life as a direct result of sexual abuse - there is so much that the Lord has delivered me from. I'd prefer not to get into that, though. I still fully believe that JESUS can bring ANYBODY through and out! BELIEVE ME... If He can heal **ME**, He can heal absolutely ANYBODY! (And I would never, ever say "get over it," but I will always say that no one is hopeless - not if they know Jesus! I also believe that Christian counseling might be necessary; because the Lord delights in using people to help people.)
I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I think people should just "get over it." That wasn't my intention.

I think many of us do what we do because of the things we have been through. I became a Marriage & Family Therapist because I realize the pressures put on husbands and wives and what these pressures can do to destroy a marriage. I also empathize with ministry because I've been there and know that no matter what you do, what you preach, what decision you make...there is always a disgruntled saint who has an issue with it.
My first client was an ex-minister's wife of a different denomination. She talked and I said..."I bet you felt this way...", she'd cry and say "Yes"... She hugged my neck when she left saying I was the only person who understood how she felt. She walked out the door and I broke down in sobs and said to God..."So this is why you had me to go through this."
I believe it is true...what don't kill you makes you stronger.
I can minister to people because of what I have been through, the same as Subdued, the same as MrsMcD's sister....

I DO NOT PRETEND TO KNOW ALL ABOUT THE SPIRIT REALM, BUT I DO UNDERSTAND YOU CAN BE OPPRESSED BY SPIRITS OR YOU CAN BE POSSESSED.
You cannot make blanket statements that lump all homosexuals in with pedophiles because they are not the same...they are different. You can be a homosexual without being a pedophile. You can be a homosexual and not have a perverse spirit. You cannot be a pedophile and not have a perverse spirit.
You are correct that a perverse spirit and a lying spirit coupled together are a major stronghold in a person's life and the casting out of this spirit can be done, but the possessed has to want freed.
I think for the purpose of this thread that bringing homosexuality into it muddies the water. This is not about homosexuals but about a heterosexual who is a known pedophile.
Respectfully, Sis. Rhoni

Sister Rhoni when you cast it out its the same spirit.Sorry I have experience in that.I agree to disagree on this one.You cannot be a homosexual and not have a perverse spirit. Its not possible. Its a perverse spirit. When you are doing the behavior you are not oppressed but possessed.Repenting and having it cast out is only the start of it.Then all the root causes and spirits have to go as well. When the spirit goes as does the lusting.
Main Entry: perˇverse
Pronunciation: p&r-'v&rs
Function: adjective
: being, relating to, or characterized by perversion <perverse sexual behavior>

The practice of homosexuality, like adultery, like fornication, like bestiality I suppose are all perverse according to your definiton here, but this is not to be confused with pedophilia. My differing with you is on linking homosexuality with pedophilia. Not only is pedophilia a sin against one's self and God but pedophilia is a sin against the person who is in a weaker position and cannot give consent because at a young age they are not able to give consent in their best interst.
You can commit homosexuality, adultery, fornication, and bestiality without being possessed by the devil or else everyone who sins would be possessed which they are not. Pedophilia on the other hand is more than lust...it is close to reprobate and an absence of conscience.
All sins are conducive to being led by the wrong spirit but pedophilia is possessing a spirit that one needs exorsized from one's life. You and I will never agree that homosexuality means you are a pedophile...they are two separate issues, the worst being pedophilia.
What I am saying is let's not muddy the water by false accusing homosexuals of pedophilia because most statistic wise are heterosexual and not homosexual. Leave homosexuality out of this thread it is not the issue. This thread is not about demon possession but about pedophilia being covered up by Pastors, related or not.
Respectfully, Rhoni

Sister Bridges,
I'm right there with you on this one. My heart hurts for Bro. T, his daughter, and the girls. As far as the prestigeous Dr. - this is another story. My grace & mercy have not kicked in yet this morning
Blessings, Rhoni

Unless they are blatantly different from the story, then I don't think we need much more. I found myself getting more and more angry as I read it, since I am familiar with the type of pastor portrait in the article. He is a man used to not being questioned. His word is law. And he considered himself truly worth of a double portion.
