5 New orphans sleeping well tonight @ New Destiny for Children
Where do I start?
Today was life changing for me, tyhuff and I went into the village and passed out 400 plus black baby dolls and trucks. (We are in Uganda)
Before returning to New Destiny we spoke with the village pastor and asked if he knew of some true orphans in this village that needed help.
He smiled and said I know just the children, he took us to a one room hut where 5 Children were living with the grandma.
Their parents died recently of AIDS.
I walked in that hut and I began to weep ( thank God I had sunglasses on I did'nt want to make them feel bad.)
We went out back and there stood 5 children very dirty with barley any clothes on,1 of them had a bare bottom.
The grandmother showed us the grave of their parents.
To make a long story short.... we accepted all 5 children. we but them in the van just like they were... dirty and with very little clothes.
A girl 8 yrs, a boy 6 years, a set of twins 3 years and a little baby girl 2 years.
These children had never left the village.
As soon as we arrived at New Destiny all the other children ran out to the van and hugged them and gave them a Big Welcome.
We immediately gave them to the 2 house mothers to bathe them and while they bathed them I began to get the new clothes together to dress them.
They will go to the hospital monday to be tested for AIDS, I am trusting that they are all ok.
A few hours ago I went to tell them good night, the baby just laided in her baby bed and giggled, she finally stopped after 20 min.
I went to each child and told them they are loved and to sleep well.
We now have 27 orphans here.
I called troy tonight and told him I will be going to another village to get 3 more before I get on the plane wed.
Nothing I've done will compare to the joy I felt today bringing these children to find a New Destiny.
I have more to share but I need to sleep now.
Bless you all. Vy

God bless you Vicki...Oh! that more would get the concept what christian love is really about. Thank you for being such an example of fulfilling the words of our Lord in Mat. 25:31"But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. 32All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate them as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left. 34Then the King will say to those on the right, `Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.'
37"Then these righteous ones will reply, `Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?' 40And the King will tell them, `I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'

Excellent report Sandra! You and Tyhuff be safe and have a blessed remainder of your trip.
Sounds like those kids lives will be changed. There is no telling what the kids in your orphanage can do for the Lord and for their own villages and country with the opportunity of a decent upbringing and education.
